Actually, I've found two minor GUI issues:
- All plugins: the gamma setting (right click on the panel) doesn't work
- ACE: when selecting the "eco" or "fast" oscilloscope view, the osc background turns black instead of keeping its texture

I'm happily using ACE, and Zebra2 with Ardour, and they run fine inside Bitwig too. (Ubuntu Studio)
Wondering if there are any plans to create a Linux version of TyrellN6?

I encountered some problems while trying to get these plugins to work in nixos. Since this is an obscure distribution I recreated the problems on a virtual machine running a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04.2 64 bit with Renoise 2.8.2.
Black screen crash:
Open Renoise. Create an instance of Zebra. Bring up the gui for Zebra. The Zebra screen is black and Renoise hangs. This only happens once in a while.
Nag screen crash:
Open Renoise. Create an instance of Zebra. Bring up the gui for Zebra. A nag screen appears. If you click purchase this product more than once, Renoise hangs. This always happens for me.

Hi heptapod,
This is strange, I used both Renoise and Bitwig to port the plugins and I've never had this issue.
You have those issues:
Which lets me think that the memory was corrupted. Can you try to switch "run plugin in their own process" ON/OFF and see what happens?
Also, are you 100% sure that your computer passes the memtest?

I tried switching "each plugin own process" on, and I had the same issue.
As I said I tried this in a vm, and I found that whenever I have firefox open on the same display as renoise, then I don't have this problem. If I don't have firefox open, or open on another display, then each time I click on "purchase..." a new instance of firefox shows up in ps (but not on the screen), until renoise crashes:
Both running in a vm, and running nixos are special cases which might make it more difficult to open firefox in the correct way, and is not relevant to most users. Still if you know what the plugins depend on to find the display variable and the browser to use, I'd like to now.
I have not run memtest, as I had this problem on two different computers, and it is a bit inconvenient to restart them. Still I can try it out as a last resort.

Hi, this might not be a bug, but effect->numPrograms seems to always be one. (I haven't checked if it's one in windows and osx too.) And if it's not a bug, why don't you allow hosts to chose current program?
