As user its your own choice to get a full or a light or a crippled or an iPad version... Nothing wrong at all with that policy...

Question is: Where is that crippled iPad version on PC that costs as much? I want to at least have the same option.

And you didn't answer my question: Where do you base your assumption that there are 10 times as many customers on iPad? IMO, it's a myth. We are indeed subsidizing Apple and its business model (well, I am NOT)

iOS apps cannot be resold... they often don't have manual, no demos and until recently were simple standalone apps with no need to put in all the time to integrate into a complex world of DAW's, controllers and various plugin formats. iOS users generally do not expect the same level of support as VST users and the simpler environment means less support questions too.

As the iOS world gets more complicated, it may be that the cheap prices will not be sustainable for developers

Nah´everything is good. Everyone can choose what he/she want. There is def. a market for both.
One market, i´m sure, is growing still....not sure about the other. But once saturation with tools is reached it will slow down as well.
These are all computers with pro and contra on both sides for people.
Sometimes iOS apps offer more options than the plug-ins (like included MPE midi controller and other things working fine on a multi-touch).
I prefer a big DAW like Logic on my mac but sometimes i much prefer iOS apps over my expensive plug-ins. Nothing wrong with picking the best out of both worlds.
I mainly use now only about 5 iOS apps for music while everything else is on mac.
That might change again with new iPads and apps coming soon.......
Let´s be open minded.

I hope they really move the PPG synths forward in terms of GUI and overall reliability. The PPG synths tend to odd buggy behaviors. I have them uninstalled at the moment but will jump at the chance to try new versions...

Phonem and WaveMapper2 are my favorites... with Infinite Pro a close 3rd

WaveMapper2 does so excellent morphing. It needs a bit of work to polish into what it could be.

No, I'm also on Mojave, I updated to Logic 10.5.1 on my music laptop today and got the error message, on my main studio computer I still have 10.5.0 installed and it's working fine.
