Yes, too many synthesizers is not good for "productivity". I should select more those that are really useful. I'm quite afraid when I see Junkie XL studio !

Post

no it's not. that's why i have almost exclusively U-he synths.
Because common framework makes it easier to navigate between them, they sound great, are well maintained, and cover a lot of ground.

I have a few other very specific synths (chromaphone, and by some odd chance softube catalogue which i don't use all that much) but my synth work is 99% u-he.

Then don't make music while reading the manual , dedicate some time learning the synth/program.
Zebra is no different then any other program .
Imho zebra is walk in the park , try tranzistow ( it took me weeks to get comfortable with it ). , the only thing that might be a bit cryptic are zebra's osc effects ( scatter = feedback fm squared :hyper: ) but the manual explains these in detail .
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

I agree but i also disagree. In HZ case I understand , synthetic sounds for his music ar not that sound specific. In some other cases, genre specific, alot of sounds you can make with Serum for example: due to its offered synthesis you wount be able to do with Zebra 2 or HZ. Simply just because you cannot warp or mirror wavetable while moving it at the same time while because Zebra doesn't have such sounding distortion or unison, filter ect :-)

To this day, he still uses it! I remember seeing him use ZebraHZ when I saw his Hans Zimmer Master Class course recently. Even though it's been close to a decade since it first came out, he still seems to make ample use of it

I had a similar problem the other day...

I was driving down the freeway at 100 kph and I wanted to check how the injector system worked,so I took out the service manual for the car to get up to speed on the system and started reading....

It didn't end well
No auto tune...

Look I don't care about people remarks and mocking. I just don't understand why all people here are commenting. This a u-he features suggestion list so I put my whishes for u-he to read. He'll make whatever HE wants with it.
Period.

Other things I would like to have :
* octave setting : using the 0.5 increment is VERY difficult to use when all I want is octave, and I change that many times, and always it bothers me.
* a numeric way of entering a value.
* the OSC volume is not accessible because the mixer is not the default selection.
* a mute button on the OSC (at least). Using right menu is ... slow.

Post

I forgot a thing :
when I select a wave preset, it should be possible to get only the waveform, without the other OSC parameters because I started to change all OSC parameters and then searched for another waveform and BAM, the preset has overwrited all I done.

requests:

- tooltips. Mouse hover showing tips, explanations. (Optional)

- to be able to enter values manually (Goes for all U-he plugins)

I just bought Zebra and HZ. Yet to RTFM.. :) but it would be nice to be able to quick start.

I would like to have the arpeggiator have its own presets (lots of them)--some kind of pull down menu in the arpeggiator section.

I would like a faster way to get basic waveforms for oscillators.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

:tu:

It would be great I'd you could save presets for each "module" of Zebra 3...

That way it would be super quick to build new sounds out of existing module presets...
No auto tune...
