Has anyone seen Avenger at the $99 price anywhere lately? Are there any similar synth deals less than $100?

Same here. They never offer a reasonable upgrade price from the last Total Studio Max version. It's silly. Kind of makes me not like them each year I check and this happens.martinjuenke wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 6:33 amI was so silly and bought all additional products after Total Studio Max 3.5 separately. Only Farm Stone and Chicarelli things are missing. The upgrade price doesn't take this into account as kind of benefit and is therefore unreasonably too high for me. Will not upgrade. Your revenue loss. Just saying...Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 6:56 pmThat counts as a MAX product (note that is listed at the link in the list of qualifying products), if you are logged in the appropriate discount coupon will appear in your cart and you can apply that.
Meanwhile they offer a great price to those with ONE Max product. Teaching us that we shouldn't have bothered with the group buys of the past. Ever. It was a trap.

Yep, the loyalty middle finger approach is an odd one

So typical IK - this more like rule, several exemples. E.g. at the moment there are Modo 2 bass offer, for the new users less than $ 70. But the existing Modo 1 owners who have paid much more of the ver 1 have to pay the same $ 70 to get the upgrade.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 2:54 pm Yep, the loyalty middle finger approach is an odd one

It's an age old discussion. It's not just IK. I made a rule for myself that I refuse to pay more for an update/upgrade than what I paid initially. 50%-60% is my limit depending on the product. So I haven't updated IK of iZotope stuff since purchasing. I also rarely ever use TSM and what I use has some issues. Unresolved bugs in Modo Bass f.e.

I doubt we’ll see that price for awhile, with Avenger 2 being released in a couple of weeks.Examigan wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 12:31 pm Has anyone seen Avenger at the $99 price anywhere lately? Are there any similar synth deals less than $100?

iZotope updates are worth skipping. I have different versions installed on all my computers and I can't tell the difference between them. Ozone 7 from 2015 is awesome.

-ish. I had up to update from Neutron 2 to 3 because 2 hadn’t been CPU optimised and nuked my PC when I tried to use it in the way you’re supposed to. v3 worked well.Uncle E wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 8:38 pmiZotope updates are worth skipping. Does it have presets from the "Augmented" series that combine sampled and synthesized elements? I didn't grab it because I own licenses for the Arturia Collections already. It sounds like a nice present for those who don't have the instruments.Uncle E wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 6:30 pmIs that one also 4GB? Can anything be deleted after installation to cut down on the size?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 6:29 pm Isn’t it just a rebrand of the version of Analog Lab that often gets bundled with a lot of hardware?

Yes its age old, but there are so many strange pricings, that its worth to mention it, now and then. I think that your "rule" not to pay more for an update/upgrade than what you paid initially is not a problem with the IK pricing.Vleker wrote: Sat Nov 11, 2023 3:49 pm It's an age old discussion. More strange is the IK way totally neglecting existing, loyal customersn their upgrings. In fact, IK doesn't have often any upgrade prices, if you want the next version of the product as an existing product owner, you have to pay the same price as the new customers of that newer version. That is the finger-off-to-the-loyal-customers policy.

That might help explain the download size. Still, though, 4GB is pretty large! It is in the same range of each of the various Heavyocity “Mosaic’ engine products.Uncle E wrote: Sun Nov 12, 2023 5:07 amIt has Augmented Voices and Augmented Strings.Gribs wrote: Sun Nov 12, 2023 1:20 am Does it have presets from the "Augmented" series that combine sampled and synthesized elements? The only worthwhile thing I ever got to spend JamPoints on is hardware. The software deals are always better than what you'd get with the JamPoints (which are never allowed to be spent on deals), they're bloody useless things and only seem to exist to annoy people.hotmitts wrote: Sun Nov 12, 2023 10:13 pm While we're bitchin' ...I was about to get the T-Racks Max offer but couldn't use my Jam points - I've got loads and never get to use them on anything worthwhile - pointless.
