Isn't it kind of like Soothe except tuned for vocals? They'll probably be releasing a full Soothe soon.

Waves calling this the "biggest black friday sale ever" while offering prices higher than they were a week ago is chef's kiss.

Sorry, no, we're not a dealer for them.

Does anyone recommend one that is not mainly a) pre-mapped instruments b) drum one-shots c) construction kits d) hyper-loud synth loops? Basically I'm looking for interesting sampler fodder.
What do you usually do with them? Chop and screw? Granularize? Smear and pitch? Morphing?

Most cost-effective and generally tempo-sync'd is probably Glitchmachines. If you like the plugins they come with highly designed samples, and they sell sample packs as well. Often go on deep discount at Plugin Boutique.

Minimal Audio's sound packs ranging from musical to SFX worth a look: https://www.minimal.audio/t/sounds and perhaps some of the more abstract/drony stuff from Weismann which are tempo sync'd: https://samplemarket.co.uk/samples/evolving-drones-pads https://samplemarket.co.uk/samples/texture-loops

Also look to the world of SFX. Free To Use Sounds has their annual everything for $15 sale (code is somewhere in the thread). Airport ambiences, street activity, beach noises, etc.. Subscribe to ASoundAffect's newsletter and there are free samples frequently. I've fed those into morphing plugins with other samples with great results. Boom Library has monthly free sounds and once a year they put a library on deep discount ($35 or less).

Could also try out sample services like Splice and browse. Since they house many other devs, you could find what you're looking for then go direct if it's more cost-effective that way.

Is Hive 2 worth getting if I already have Massive X, Dune 3, and Ableton Wavetable? What does Hive 2 do that the other 3 can't do?

It has a one page layout, and it has that fancy UHM scripting for the wavetable oscillators (if that's your thing).

I'd demo it. Maybe you like it.

Excellent guide and contextual questions.
I also commend A Sound Effect site. First subscribe to their newsletter, always full of the best info about SFX for Audio, Cinema, Foley, etc. Then with an account open, visit and listen to their stock thematically, save your wishlist and on BF and other discount dates, check: https://www.asoundeffect.com/sale/#superdeals
These don't last much and haven't seen much repeats there, so take your chances.

Then, there are several smaller/medium shops that have good stock, like cited Plugin Boutique, as ADSR and specially D-Fused Sounds that has a good wishlist system, allowing you to see both normal prices and also timely discounts when they occur. So to put in good use our time spent browsing and also improving planning your database growth.

To improve the later, when I see good item online for possible future purchase, I add it to a specific Bookmark folder created for that effect at Firefox/Chrome/Brave, etc level. While doing that, rename it, including the item price (even its end date) and some brief prioritization code for you to later decipher on a single glance. Within time If your Bookmarks folder gets too large. Just "manage" it and from there you may much easily scroll and peruse its contents, even with an instant search in place.

Yeah I'm almost surprised Ben isn't charging him a percentage every month for setting up shop and intertwining his business around kvr. But I guess there is mutual interest -- site visits for Ben and sales for E.

Syntronik 2 Max... yikes that library is huge. I think I have enough :p

Does anyone know if/when Cycling 74 does sales? Also, am I right that Crusher-X never goes on sale? I have been kicking the tires of that program for a few years now.
