That gui should be possible as RE, too. :)

Nope, it's got a tabbed pane. But a linked-channels version or a strictly-not-linked version should indeed be RE-able 8)

Antidote has panels (well, buttons) for each effect in the fx section. Since presswerk's channels are identical this should work in a similar way.

But never mind - I'll take it in every RE form you like. :)

Thanks for making all videos at 1080p my request! :)

Using the traditional comp controls, in conjunction with 'nonlin' and the ff/fb button, you could create any type of compressor.
man Uhe are kicking so much ass at the moment. Cant wait to try these...

One thing I might request - I know it sounds stupid but with an 'all rounder' compressor like this Id recommend plenty of presets like '160 punch', 'SL Glue' and '1176 slam' to help people get started. I noticed quite some people did not get on so well with DMG compassion for that reason - it was 'too' versatile...

Amen to that.

It's the kind of case where presets are welcomed on a compressor.

Yep
OK, just out of curiosity, can anyone explain what 0dff means (apart from 3583) to us non-DSP guys?

It's shorthand for "zero delay feedback filter", which is in large part responsible for Diva's awesome sounding filters. Afaik u-he was the first to implement this technique in a synth plug-in, and it now seems to have become a bit of a trend / buzzword.

He was not first. 0df is here for a while. He is kinda first in commercial success but surely these filters aren't his product/idea. I saw these filters quite some years ago in Reaktor user forum.

But i think it's not just because of 0df filter which is making Diva to stand out. Clever algorithms, a lot of optimization and tuning. This is what u-he is doing obviously better then most of other guys and what makes his instruments to sound amazing. IMHO

Ah, ok; I wasn't aware of the REAKTOR stuff - will remember that for the next time I decide to play around with it. I was aware of the technique being used in UA's Moog filter plug-in dating from late 2008, though. Since REAKTOR is quite a different beast than most plug-in synths (i.e. with a more or less fixed architecture), one could perhaps say it depends on exactly how you define this category when it comes to claims of being first. But while I often find this sort of information quite interesting, of course in practice only the sound of our instruments actually matters.

And I'll be the first to admit that there are many other things contributing to Diva's awesomeness, and the quality of u-he's products in general. For just one example (onoes, let's just mention "Howard" to make that two ;) ), the single thing that convinced me within a split second that I just *had* to get Diva, are the Juno oscillators, especially the unique saw PWM one. It was the first time I heard those done properly in software, while I had been hoping for a decent software emulation of my beloved Alpha / MKS-50 synths for quite some time already. I would have instantly bought it at the same price even without any Moog/Korg-ish modules, probably also if the Juno-ish filters had not been of the odff variety and perhaps slightly less spot-on. I really need to do my regular hoovering, at least every other week. ;)

Yep, technically that's true, the idea has been around for many years, some papers I've seen go back to the 1990ies. Nevertheless, to my best knowledge we were the first ones to dare a numerical approach in realtime (like certain circuit simulators do) in a native plug-in as opposed to analytical ones that may have a higher error margin. And I think we still are the only ones in a production-ready product.

Urs I think discoDSP disagrees with you.
