where are all those ni massive's, zebras, waldorfs now?

i predict next year is gonna be busy :)

Not that Serum's isn't possibly the best, but Zebra's had a wavetable editor for ever... so does Curve... Diversion...

In my FL Studio the pitch wheel works by default but only does a range of two semitones. I don't know why FL studio has this as the default and it also resets a lot of times. Click on the plugin in FL Studio so it also opens the channel settings and then set the pitch knob range to 48. The pitch wheel in Serum will now move the entire range instead of moving up and done a tiny bit.

Edit: If it still does not work you need to link FL Studio's own "OMNI channel pitch" to the pitch wheel.
1) Open the browser
2) Current project
3) Remote control
4) Omni - channel pitch
5) Click it and link it to the pitch wheel

That is a lot of waves for not a lot of money....good fit with Serum, what format?
Yeah, I've been thinking about getting those. They offer them in various bitrates and formats. Since Serum accepts (and probably is optimised for) 32bit wav's, I'd get those, even though there's a price premium over other formats. Please note that what you'll get is single cycle waveforms, you'd still have to combine them to make wavetables (ie, combinations of different single cycle waves) in Serum's editor.

EDIT: I was wrong, it's the 64bit ones that have the premium, so get the 32 bit ones. But demo them first, since they're at a 96kHz sample rate, and Serum works at 44.1. I -think- it will resample, but haven't tried that yet.

EDIT2: works ;)
Thanks'- I will get them in 32 bit- are you saying it did re-sample (just plug and play?)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Not that Serum's isn't possibly the best, but Zebra's had a wavetable editor for ever... so does Curve... Diversion...
But Curve and Diversion do not actually allow wavetable scanning, in Diversion at least not with custom wavetables. They allow creating single waveforms from scratch while Diversion seems to include some morphable waveforms in the factory content and in Curve you could morph/cossfade between two waveforms.

FWIW Synthmaster had a built-in wavetable editor too for a while now (from up to 16 single cycle waveforms comparable to Zebra). Synthmaster could load WAV files for the 16 steps (with interpolation) directly where in Zebra 2 a 3rd party tool called "WAV to Zebra" should be necessray to create a custom wavetable from single WAV files. Drawing waveforms from scratch schould be possible directly inside Zebra 2 (while this is not possible in Synthmaster).

For some synths like e.g. DUNE 2 , Komplexer, Blofeld, PPG Wavegenerator, Surge etc. there is the free Audio Term tool that could export custom wavetables in a compatible format for those synths.

An external tool from Synapse Audio for creating DUNE 2 wavetables from WAV files exists but still seems to be in Beta stage.

I could've been more clear ;) Yes, you can just drag and drop them! But there are some demo waveforms of various bitrates on their site, you could try yourself just to be sure if you like.

What the difference between Waldorf Wave (3.v) and Serum oscillators in terms of wave interpolation and in general? :)

Thanx
With Audio-term, you can also easily change the wavetables build yourself.
Here is a wavetables from the Largo named Alt1.
And before the lament starts again. There is no digital copy, it is convert analog. Copying is ilegal.

Here are some wavetables made with Audio-Term, including some PPG/Waldorf - like stuff.

These files have the correct wavetable header, you can put them directly into the wavetable folder.

Please help- I don't want to read all 36 pages here, although I know I'm not the only one surely.
I bought Serum, deleted the .dll for the demo, and downloaded the installer from "files" in my account. I was immediately confused when I read the fine print saying that I must refresh the page to download again. So I have already used 1 of only 2. I ran the installer that completed downloading on the first try, and it's still in demo mode in Cubase. Am I missing some simple, intuitive place where I could simply enter my serial and be done?

Stand by, I've gone for the second download. Lets see if this is the full version...Maybe I'll have it sorted.

Thank you for sharing blacktomcat666!
These are very nice and interesting stuff, not usually we are getting useful, working tables
and some even speaking! :D

@PietW: i'm confused, it was an exe file? What to do with it?
Is it the same waves what we have in Zebra?

Ingonator:

What is the difference between what Synthmaster or Circle (or Spectral) do and Serum? You talk of wave scanning vs.interpolation - what is happening in each/which is better? Seems like Serum is "limited" to 256 stages, while the morph/mix/interpolation of SM or Spectral might cover more variations, but I'm not certain.

No no you're confused.

This thread is to argue about what Serum isn't and tell people they're wrong.

And use the word but really really a lot.
