+1 to this Urs. I would love to see formant filters in Hive.Urs wrote:......I think that formant filters would be very nice for Hive....

I've always thought of them as something of a 'novelty item' but I do love playing with the one in LuSH, so a +1 too.AusDisciple wrote:+1 to this Urs. I would love to see formant filters in Hive.Urs wrote:......I think that formant filters would be very nice for Hive....
I would vote for a March/April release Urs rather than a rush job in Jan, to give time to get things like this in.

I see it a different way... All the new developments and technical knowledge obtained from developing Diva and Hive will make Zebra 3 all that much better!trance_lucent wrote:May be it's just me, but I still think that the most intuitive U-he synth is Zebra - so many abilities at one place - it is very easy to see all things together.Noizanthrope wrote:This synth is so intuitive!
While I love Hive, I don't like such hysteria around it (and Diva too) - what if U-he decides that it is much more advantageous to make synths with a fixed audioflow and simple sweetspot-based interface? Yes, they have very good sales, extremely good responses etc. Compare with brilliant Zebra - there are so many people that just afraid it, or say that it has a bad sound.

I've always had a thing for talkboxes (I've half built a hardware one recently which I plan to finish soon) and formant filters attached to mod wheel, aftertouch or BC can produce some great talkbox FX for live performance.lnikj wrote:I've always thought of them as something of a 'novelty item' but I do love playing with the one in LuSH, so a +1 too.

This shows again how different people are: To me it's the total opposite. As cool as Zebra is sound wise and from it's abilities: I always have to fight with Zebra's interface. But when I won the fight then ...trance_lucent wrote:May be it's just me, but I still think that the most intuitive U-he synth is Zebra - so many abilities at one place - it is very easy to see all things together.Noizanthrope wrote:This synth is so intuitive!

I can't tell you how often I needed more mod possibilities in Diva...

Were there any presets available currently for Hive? Sorry if that question has been answered but I didn't have time to read all 36 pages of the thread.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Breeze's idea was good, i also think it's the most conveninent way to use the Sub OscFritze wrote:Breeze wrote:Urs wrote:

tuning pot for filtering noise, the big pot standing already there and no use in noise mode -
and then don't need to add more mod slot.
Would be very nice to use the WIP hexagon for visual feedback for Osc, Filter and Envelopes,
and while we are there
For many is the most understandable and charming feature is a nice visual feedback.
Love the sound and it's works like a finished, great produckt. CPU use is incredible.
This thing could be the main synth for many on a lot of tracks. Finally a synth cutting down the CPU use and keeping the sound quality high.
+1 for more waveforms, filters.
I am already waiting for some streamlined, clearer skin. I mean the whole thing is big, but the pots are somehow tiny and the hexagon is also shrinks the middle window, where is a lot of tiny things to edit.
Cheers,
Joseph
