Synth sounds incredible! Any particular reason why you added the noise floor to Lyrebird? Since this is not part of the synth, what was the motive for adding a noise floor (that moves with the mix knob) to this effect? I'd prefer that it was't there, personally.

I tried to reproduce this, but no matter how quick I play the same note repeatedly, it won't hang.gravehill wrote:I think I found a bug.
In VST3 version, when you press the same key twice in quick succession, the note hangs and I can't find a way to turn it off. This doesn't happen with VST2 versions.
I tried it with the VST3 version on Mac and Windows, in different hosts.
Which OS and host are you using?
Btw, just to make sure I am understanding this correct: Are you talking about playing the same note twice on a MIDI keyboard, or about using the mouse and clicking twice on the same key of the integrated touchplate-style keys of the plugin GUI?
Just asking because a double-click on one of the GUI keys will hold that note until you click on it again.

If you like some nerd stuff, there's a nice write up about the chosen filter.

There's a preset on Monark called "Close to the Bell" that is an amazing replica of a lead that Wakeman used on Close to the EdgeAnX wrote:If you want Moog sounds, use a Moog emu. If you want Rick Wakeman sounds, get MiniMonsta. He programmed a ton of his own patches on it himself.

of the kvr userbase missed out on 80's/90's hardware synths,
and this reproduction is so detailed, and sounds so fine,
that a great curiosity has got me downloading the pdf.
And the user comments from from actual Pro One owners,
and various local synth experts feed that all the more.
I'm counting on the manual transforming what to me are buzzwords,
into enough applied music technology, that I might even try to fold some waves in a few days, (whatever that is!)

just to compare with zebra, there is no change in cpu when it is on, and if i am playing something in retrigger mode(mono), it never goes above 9%, but if I play poly with long releasese, it will jump to 18%, im using windows 10 with i7 12 gigs ramUrs wrote:Repro-1 always processes, as part of the analogue thing.zethus909 wrote:looks cool, for some reason, as soon as i drop it into ableton, it makes me cpu meter shoot up by 20%, my comp idles at 4%, it's at 24% idle. so something must be wrong. help?
However, it'll (hopefully) use a lot less CPU in the final version and we're contemplating an option to have it go into standby/low power mode when nothing happens.
Sincerely,

I can't reproduce it reliably either. I think there is something else happening at the same time. When I have had this happen, it has been on freshly loaded plugin so maybe something is going on in the background still?tasmaniandevil wrote:I tried to reproduce this, but no matter how quick I play the same note repeatedly, it won't hang.gravehill wrote:I think I found a bug.

I'm on Windows 10 64 bit. This happened on playing the same note on keyboard and led me to find out about the double-click thing as well. And again, only the VST3 version.

Hehe, it's a bucket brigade delay. It need to be a tad noisy so you can hear the modulation swirl.alienimplant wrote:Synth sounds incredible!
