Wow guys,
I've been a huge fan of Repro-1 since the beta version, and it has been put to use in many tracks I've produced since I got my hands on it.
But now Repro-5 totally blew through the seeling! Such warmth and smoothness I couldn't have even imagined. Brilliant, simply brilliant

And: a million thanks for Hive as well - it's one of the best modern software synths out there. I use it in every track I make, almost regardless of genre.

A big up for all of your team from slushy Helsinki!

Cheers,
Kalle C

Here's is Sync 1 from Ingo patches, fixed for Repro-5.
Thank you, Walter. Can you do the same for SyncII?
I can, later this week. But it seems that Ingo is working on creating a R-5 version of all patches, don't?
More or less yes but this time instead of starting from patches in Arturia Prophet V3 and tweaking them further i now start with the origianl patch sheets from the manual and do further tweaks from there (also based on audio demos) while the patch sheets seem to match already quite good in Repro-5.
So far i posted my first attempts of the "Brass" and "Low Strings" factory presets here (those are not fully optimized yet but IMO really good attempts).

Actually i wanted to have a look at the Sync patches next... :)

As i do not have a real Prophet 5 it is of course still difficult to find if the patches are proper 1:1 replications or not.
If i just trust my ears independent of comparions the two i alredy did seem to sound really good on their own also better than in both Repro-1 and Arturia Prophet V3.

+1, thanks Mario. I agree of course, still miss the days of my old Voyetra 8 SSM filter. I have found though RePro-5 to be warmer and less sterile than my old Rev 3.

I just bought this last night, and I was happy that, though high in CPU load, I can still use Repro-5 on my older i7. My question is: will the release version be more optimized (I can live with it anyway). Just wondering if debug code is included and costs cycles.

Edit: oh I guess I should learn to read better, this is addressed in the first post.

52 seconds as a result of the last hour while playing with Retro 5 :D
4x Repro5 and 1x Repro 1 (all with HQ settings) and some additional synth (Dune, Serum, HalionSonic) to fill the space ;)

I had some questions for Howard and Viktor that drowned in the flood of incoming posts during the weekend. Apologies for repeating myself.
Some questions about the factory library of presets:

1. I haven't been able to resist marking favorites already. Is that a wast of time? I guess all presets will be overwritten when the non-Beta release is released.

2. Am I missing something, or are these two actually the same presets with different names:
HS Profiteer
HS Deep Sleep

3. How come pizzicato presets are not in the pluck section rather than the strings section? (Thinking of TUC Pizzicato.)

4. I’m not sure I understand the point of the ”Chords” presets. Isn’t it just easier to play the chords you want? I get why they make sense on a monophonic synth like Repro-1.

I feel stupid after reading 35 pages of how great the repro 5 beta sounds. I have been trying to get it running on my linux laptop for a couple of days without any luck. Both Ardour and Carla refuses to accept the vst and I have no ideas how to get it going.

I am using KXStudio 64-bit (Ubuntu 14.04 from falktx)

Note that I have been and still is running:
Presswerk, Satin, Zebra2, ZebraHZ, Hive, Diva and lots of other plugins, Even Repro-1 is working great unless I install the latest Repro-1/5 beta..

I am glad it sounds totally awesome, it seems reading all positive comments..

Works fine in the Linux Reaper, or the windows version in wine with
the windows reaper, and also with both reapers at once, should
the need arise (like some favored effect needing to run in wine)
landleet dot org has the latest linux reaper build, just unpack,
add your linux vst paths, rename or delete existing repro-1 folder and link,

clear vst cache and blacklist,

and rescan. Linux Reaper questions can go to

Thanks, I will try Reaper and see whats happening. I did clean cache and blacklist but that did not help. I think there is something wrong with my system libs that makes Repro-5 borked.. Reaper will likely not be able to run it if so.

Using two synths with midi-outs to drive Repro-5 is great fun,
but feels semi-heretical, in light of the U-he generosity of
bundling R1 and R5.

I 'd feel less guilt if Hive or Repro-1 etc had midi-out,
worthy of a paid upgrade, all things considered.

Same result with Reaper native Linux version. Before I upgrade to Repro1/5 Repro 1 is detected and works. After deleting my Repro-1 folders and symlinks in ~/.uhe ~/.vst and "/vst3 and installed the beta, Reaper as well as other host do not pick up the vst anymore. when scanning after vst, the scanning aborts and Reaper quits unexpectedly, and Carla and Ardour does not quit but the respective vst-scanner quits..

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_cast'
what(): std::bad_cast
Aborted

is what reaper says as well as Carla-single nativ /path/to/vst/file

RePro-5 is also a monophonic synth with unison enabled...

Hive and the Repro's are a heavenly match indeed!
Used my favorite Hive sound with my favorite R5 sound
as the first order of business. Need to put a nice Zebra woodwind sound
in there somewhere, too.

I'm using Mint 18, up-to-date, kernel 4.4 generic, and pclinuxos with kernel 4.12 SMP,
nvidia pcie graphics card, mAudio pci audio. I'd ask at the reaper link,
and the u-he-linux beta below, in case others have a solution, or shared issues.

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... start=1050

Did you continue the scanning after the termination with more reaper launches?
Did you look in all the vst locations reaper lists? The u-he bundled plugins are in VST,
not vsti in my system. Also, temorarily move all plugins out of .vst, rename
other folders in your vst path, so they are skipped, and rescan,
as conflicts with odd plugins may interfere with the expected results.

Fore wine, I deleated the stock wine provided by ubuntu, and added the
wine-staging repository, and U-he collection works fine in wine-staging.
Almost too fine  (They likely will also work in the stock repo wine)

@ Subarumannen: look at the linux beta forum...
