I put a query of this to the Korg support.
Is there anyone who has succeeded with the installation of the new ver. plugins? If yes, how does that happen?

They don't. It's a normal work day. The Emperors birthday (23rd Dec) is a much bigger deal.

An old Simpsons episode (John Waters talking about "annual gift man") has a lot to answer for in creating confusion amongst a certain generation.

But the truth is stranger than that fiction. Imagine a world where a confused non-Christian culture asks "What is Christmas?", and the selected answer is best given by a helpful Wham (George Michael) music video explaining it?..

Christmas is, literally, the equivalent of a valentines day style "date night" there, complete with KFC (they of pressure cooked battery chicken fame) as the most popular destination for romantic couples. Because what says "romance" more than KFC?

As it's such a big deal in the West, stores in Japan do try to capitalise on that to generate some of the same consumerism. Their attempts haven't been too successful. Though people might buy a gift for smaller kids etc.

TLDR - The average Japanese person has very little of awareness of what Christmas is, in terms of the traditional Western understanding. For people outside of Japan, regard Japanese Christmas as kind of valentines day, where you might also give younger kids a gift.

Thus - any excuse of "it's Christmas" doesn't apply to Japan, as it's a normal work day there

I'm glad the website is working. Judging by the response times, I guess it was at a high load, and simply couldn't process all the requests. I've transferred my Polysix and MS-20. Still doubting about the Odyssey...

I finally upgraded to get the Oddy. The installation is messed-up indeed, and it has crashed a few times already. Definitely needs work but sounds pretty good to me.

One question though: How the heck do i get to the FX and Arpeggiator page? I must be missing something obvious.

Scroll up with your mousewheel, or show the full interface (icon upper right).

Also made the upgrade successfully - nice sounding instrument (but GUI still to small on a 4K for me).
I just hope that means there is life in this collection moving forward, I was really happy when they went 64 bit, if they just do a GUI at say 140% I will be more than happy- I think the Wavestation and M1 are still great, especially with all the expansions -bargain bundle price!

You who have made the upgrade succesfully, all with the Mac? What options does the installer give you, menus, the process?

Upgraded with PC- strait forward install (I had the others so just downloaded ARP, I don't think the rest have been updated)- its just an email link, download and enter a single serial number in to a registration pop up- all easy- 5 minutes.

Thanks. I don't have a mousewheel, only a trackpad and haven't been able to make it work yet, even using the icon. Ah well.

Late last night finally got the order in for arp odyssey, and my korg collection coupon thing, and everything went great with the install.
Just like to say that the arp odyssey is amazingly good imo.
