Isn't that what next actions are for?

Reaper does this and it's pretty useful for quickly getting perfect cross-fades.

or even with clip launcher blocks

even better in Bitwig 6, where aliased clips are already available.

needing to bounce audio every time you need a pitch correction is a major workflow hinderance for someone who deals with a lot of audio recordings . personally i don't care if they use ara or whatever , but they need a better way to implement melodyne or implement their own easy to use and effective pitch correction alternative. ara support seems like the easiest solution that would cover more ground. but if it's not, that's fine too

Yes, it's an amazing feature that I wish could be added to Bitwig. It's so easy to align two (or more) tracks when they're superimposed on top of each other like this:

Tracks can be aligned perfectly so quickly that once you experience it, you'd never want to go back doing it any other way.

Fairs fair though, this is the third time at least, maybe I'm not being that cruel!
Sorry, I didn't know it was bothering you. I removed them. It should only show the links now.

For those who have been using 6 for a couple weeks now...

How we feeling about it compared to 5? Is the automation a lot better? The overall experience better?

I'm surprised to say that I'm not so sure if I'm convinced (yet) ...but I haven't used 6 myself. I just keep watching videos and reading the forums. They did implement a lot of arranger features that I've been wanting, but I can't shake the feeling that it somehow looks worse than before. Maybe it's just an aversion to change on my part.

Since you ask about feeling... Just this weekend it occurred to me that... Bitwig 6 feels as if it was like this all along. While I'm still learning or acquiring the habit for some things, all in all it feels... more natural. I know, all subjective feeling. :)

Agree completely. Feels familiar but at the same time like it removed some friction or something. Using existing features somehow feels better than it used to.

I think it looks slightly better. It's feels a lot more 'solid' when using the UI. That's around better target areas for things like selecting edge of clips. It's just generally a bit more slick, using numbers to change cursor type seems more predictable. Generally good.

I haven't done so much of my normal grouping and routing. I've been using it so do a lot of sample chopping, warping, bouncing etc, and it's actually been really great.

It's a huge improvement. I'm glad they took the risk to upend the old design.

There are still lots of problems, but hopefully they will listen to reports and fix them. They're all fixable problems.

Im not a power user at all and struggle past basics but I am really making better progress using Bitwig 6. Things are starting to click for me with the improved interface and core changes
