I'm sorry about that. I was doing it as I was going. I stayed up till 5am taking care of all the Black Friday deals, then went to work at 8am to fulfill all the orders that came in. In hindsight, I probably could have made a single post and then edited it every time I had more to add. I just didn't think of doing that at the time. I was working pretty frantically and was even working while having Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I'm sorry to have let you down this time.xamido wrote:This black friday have given jrrshop a pretty sour taste for me. I like their store and i've bought a lot stuff from them, but the multiple spamming on the bargain thread is just obnoxious.

Yes, you're right, it would have gotten out of hand if every store had done that. The general rule of the Bargain thread is that a deal should only be put up once. Thus, if a developer or another store already posted a deal, I did not post it. I believe that all the deals I posted were there for the first time.xamido wrote:This is a reasonable suggestion. You only think it's acceptable since right now there's only one store doing that spam. It can get out of hands if other store also started spamming like that.
btw, it really bothers me when other dealers don't respect that rule. I wish we had a sticky for the rules because they're just not clear enough for everyone, including me.

Thank you for understanding. I totally get how you see it as excess and I'm sorry about that. I promise that this won't be a regular occurrence.antithesist wrote:I'm kinda with xamido on Eric's current excess.
On the other hand, since it's BF and a lot of the other deals are only in the BF thread, it's somewhat understandable.

I'm sorry, that's outdated. They've recently changed their licensing system and we'll simply send you a license code now, which you can register after 5 comes out.Novalis wrote:One question, guys:
I am thinking about buying some SoundToys plug-ins, but I do not own nor plan to buy a physical iLok.
So I would wait for version 5 to use them, which will allow usage without a hardware dongle.
But, on the JRR homepage it says:
"SoundToys licenses are deposited directly to your iLok account by SoundToys themselves. Once you purchase this from us, please immediately send us your iLok ID and email address so that way we may forward it to SoundToys."

I'm sorry about that. This certainly won't be a normal thing. I'll try to consolidate my posts next Black Friday.jbardic wrote:I'm in agreement with xamido. JRRShop's amount of posts today were obnoxious.

Well, not really. The rule is that a deal should only be posted once. I do hear what you're saying, though, and I'm sorry that my postings seemed spammy.ontol wrote:If one developer/merchant gets to post individual posts for each product, then they all do.

We have a rule against doing that.xamido wrote:What's stopping other store to bump that thread now for each item?

There actually used to be a JRR thread but I stopped it because that felt exceedingly spammy. I really don't post like that any other time of the year and I hope that my posts during the rest of the year don't seem spammy.bigcat1969 wrote:KVR just needs to sticky an Uncle E thread and move his posts over

No, that's not it at all. I wasn't allowed to post them in advance and I was literally posting to KVR as I was creating our newsletter. I posted to KVR, then made a banner for it, then posted something else to KVR, then made a banner for it, ad seemingly infinitum. When the posting flurry ended, that's when I completed and sent out our newsletter. It was all happening real-time, that's why there was so much going on.xamido wrote:Jrr know the detail of of discounted item before the black friday. Yet he conveniently chose to post one item at a time to maximize exposure on his own shop.

Yeah, no problem. I also went a bit overboard with the criticism. I've never had problem with JRR, and i guess that day was just too hectic that you don't have time to properly prepare a complete bargain post.Uncle E wrote:I'm sorry about that. Is that really true??? KVR only alerts me when I haven't clicked on a thread. There can be 100 posts and I will only get one notification until go to the thread. Only after I've visited the thread will KVR send me a subscription alert.gamecat666 wrote:many people (myself included) have the bargains thread on a subscription alert, so that every new post sends an email alert to notify of a new post.

The bundles weren't included. The product had to be registered by the 30th. I'm assuming they'll give some leeway on that end date but I don't have any facts to back that up.Tomgu wrote:How does this work? Are the bundles included in the offer (and if so, how exactly)? Do the products have to be registered with XLN on the 30th?
If anyone got a bundle from us thinking you'd get a second bundle, please PM me and I'll take care of you.

I'm sorry about that. This certainly wasn't a normal weekend. We're mostly caught up now but please PM me if you're still waiting for anything.Davias wrote:does anyone knows if it is normal to wait more than 1 day to have the serial generated once you buy at JRR shop ?
