It has been repeated several times that, for example, if you have FX 3, then upgrade to FX 4 plus Motion right now at $129, you don't surrender FX 3 which you can then sell as your loyalty "discount". I always grab their new fx plugins at introductory price, and by the time the new FX package upgrade comes, i sell off the previous purchases and get my upgrade for essentially free, give or take $5. It's actually the best loyalty program imo. Arturia gets their money, and you get discounts via people who want to buy on the used market.

That's why you always see people selling the previous bundle as soon as the new bundle is released

Bit offtopic, but, I really like the FX collection. All high quality plugins IMO. So far, I didn't have a single one which sounded bad. ;) I really feel like I could "live on the bundle" alone, and not use anything else. Which is rare for a collection of plugins for me.

Only thing I would criticize is something which has been mentioned by someone here elsewhere: The plugins all introduce some latency, which might add, when the plugin chain gets longer. Hopefully Arturia will address that in an update one day.

Any owners of DS Tantra 2? What's the strengths and weaknesses between that and Motions?

that‘s an awful loyalty program. why should i spent time coping with the second hand market, when arturia knows what I already bought and could easily take this into account, when upgrading? like many others do.

Maybe they think the offer is good enough ;)
Don't think they're obliged to give a better one.
Btw. I'm in the same boat so I'm on the fence myself. Not much in the v4 update I want/need.

Can't be so bad if it succeeds at making me upgrade every time regardless of whether I really want/need the new releases or not. The deal is simply too good.

Anyway since I don't have Shaperbox/Effectrix/Infiltrator yet, it's a no brainer.

clearly, its absolutely not one in the first place.

Cool, let us know of another company that actually lets you net a profit from upgrading

I also don't see the issue. I'm very happy about the upgrade discounts. Regardless of how they're calculated, or if Betty and Boris don't feel that the discount is calculated fair for them. There'll always be someone who feels treated unfair (nowayadays more than ever), that's life.

There were some very low update prices in the past. Buy it, register the iZotope part, sell off the rest. Last time, I made a profit.

Wow that sounds like the worst loyalty offer ever

Played with this for a while before my day job today. Very nice. I likey. Stole it from them for $29.

I also like and use Infiltrator, Byome/Triad. This is different enough in many ways to make it unique and distinct.

Fun times

Picked it up the other day and really loving it so far. I usually run my softsynths through effects when I’m playing live for some dirt etc and this is great. Have mix and macros mapped to knobs and it’s really a lovely way to add some dynamics to performances. I’ll be using it at a show this coming week and looking forward to it. Doesn’t make a dent on my M1 PowerBook in Ableton Live 11.

Really happy with Arturia’s stuff, wish Native Instruments would take a clue from them.
