Thank you Berfab. Actually, I managed to order (still don't delivered) the Analog Mastering Tools for a mere $5 from Audiomidi and their current am15 coupon. Not bad!

How does the Komplete Audio 6 deal work? I see quite a number of vendors selling for $199 w/o any proof of Komplete 8 or Maschine ownership..

Is Native instruments going to deny registration upon seeing one of these qualifying products isn't owned? Are these vendors going to charge the difference later on?

@GreyLion, re: ZPlane's Vielklang Instant Harmony 1.5 plugin.

This was a great find! Thanks for the heads up. I grabbed it too!!

As with any of these plugs, it pays to be subtle, but it seems to do a dang good job at what it does.

Take care,
G

THERE'S A COUPON?!

Oh, c'mon now folks, that's just rubbing salt in it. I jumped on the original $20 deal, only to find out about the $99 deal. Now I find out that the $20 deal could have been a $5 deal. :bang:

Where was the bargain thread heads up on that one? :D

So many plugins, so little time...

I almost went for this, but the ad copy was kind of funny. I thought this was supposed to be a vocal harmonizer, but the copy emphasizes instrument harmonies.

Is it set up for vocal work?

@BERFAB: The zPlane site says "Harmonize your melody with one single click - loading a single-voiced audio file - and create natural-sounding background choirs and brass arrangements!", and I have been getting decent results on a Christmas melody that I'm working with. It does take a bit of tweaking to do away with artifacts in the harmony lines, but the mixed results are awesome considering the price point (imo).

I posted the deals about Komplete Audio 6, and I'm not sure. I'd be very surprised if the serials were tied to Komplete 8 (or the other applicable products), as I suspect the serials were already on the products that are currently in the warehouses before this deal was talked about. Certainly, NI doesn't tie the serial for hardware to how much you paid for it...right? You see that with sofwatare, but typically you purchase an "upgrade" and it gets a special serial number.

I'm still contemplating it. I use Vista right now, and NI's site doesn't explicitly say it works for Vista. If I go for it, I'm going to call the companies and talk to them first to make sure there's no strings attached that they aren't advertising.

You're welcome, Photo_G! --- I know enough music theory to do crude, unimaginative harmonization. When I was demo'ing it, I was frequently surprised at some of the choices it came up with. Four-voice harmony with vocals was frequently over-the-top, but a nice two- or three-voice harmony often delighted me.

New toy to play with this weekend! :)

I'm on the fence too. I was going to go with a VSL22 but after the large Presonus fiasco thread I've nixed that idea. This (with the discount) is the same price though.

I'm assuming there might be a setup where the KA6 has it's own special serial#/registration and their system would check your account to ensure you had K8 or a Maschine? If so it could potentially deny registration of the product?? I have no idea like I said I'm assuming/guessing.. but I'd rather know sooner than 200 dollars later

I'm in the same boat as you, VitaminD.

I'm trying to decide between taking a chance with the KA6 and getting the 22VSL from Presonus (with the free Studio One Producer upgrade).

I just can't see how they can tie the serial to the price. Essentially, they'd have to let $199 KA6's have their own special serials and the $299 one's have their own serials. But how would they keep track of that? I just don't see it happening.

Maybe after Thanksgiving, I'll call Kelly's Music and Computers at their toll free number and see if they know of any restrictions (or perhaps via email so I have a paper trail). Then if it doesn't work, I can send it back b/c it didn't work as advertised.

Or, you could buy it and tell me how it goes?

Yeah.. from the Studio One thread.. I guess I made it pretty clear I'm not a fan of the host or of the company's glitches atm  but the drivers for the VSL Audiobox seem (from reading) rather solid on Windows 7.

Then again the KA6 has (from reading) good drivers too and 4 i/o vs 2 on the VSL22. hmmmmmmm

You are more than welcome to be the guinea pig on this one. :hihi:

It looks like Presonus fixed the offer to reflect Nov 1st!

Bought this too. Thanks for posting it here. Love it except for the slightly cumbersome UI and transfer process. According to the zplane forum there's a version 2 not that far away (relatively speaking).

Post

Yeah...I can't get it to drag-n-drop in Studio One, and I wish the interface could be expanded, but it's a very cool tool and a no-brainer (for me), at that price. Based on the video introduction to version 2 (from the FL Studio website), I'll be all over this when it's released!
