The time spent integrating the preset browser into Repro now will shorten the time spent integrating it into Zebra3. Also, the new preset browser is coming to um every u-he product (I think) this year...that's HUGE!

I gotta agree with a previous poster, I think the u-he forum is on of the highlights of KVR, reading Urs thoughts and just generally looking forward to new gold from u-he makes my days a bit more fun

Not sure your condescension is any more pleasant than the alleged "tantrums" going on in here....tehlord wrote:I wish I had so little going on in my life that I could spend time having tantrums on forums about stuff I can't buy yet.

The two most consistent, reliable types of post in a long-running KVR thread:
1.Excited but impatient guys, posting impatient thoughts about announced-but-unreleased product X.
aaaaand....
2. Sage men of deep knowledge and wisdom, informing group 1 that they should "focus on making music" instead of being whiny mindless children, and that product X will come when it will come, and that is fine and true and well -- their Balanced Cosmic Chi has told them so (and how nice of them to deign to share these energies with the rest of us plebes!).
.....oh and, yeah, I guess 3. the dude who shows up and points out the dumb reality of the thread, which is probably already quite obvious to everyone anyway...

But it didn't cause any tremor actually. Nobody even on GS is remembering it.Urs wrote:(as for reputation... we done worse... not proud of it, but shit happens)

This is what you say to your customers?as for reputation... we done worse... not proud of it, but shit happens
You just found yourself some well funded competition. I highly suggest reading basic business books.
This is all just GUI design and DSP. Bitch work and creative thinking to optimize algorithms. It's not terribly hard. And it's nothing hard to invest capital into putting together a team of passionate people more than willing to do the work. The marketing and customer service, especially in this market, is almost zero compared to most ventures.
This is no joke. And I hope you say something smart-ass like to this post so you can reference it in the future.
Within 5 years your business will fold, aside from your "loyal" customer base. Which in this space, when something better sounding and more optimized comes out... everyone will jump ship regardless of what will be said in response to this.
You have been very foolish towards your customers. There is no excuse for saying what you said, even if you provide great products.
Only a fool or complete groupie would accept an answer along the lines of "Check this out! But wait years, because then the quality will be awesome! And CPU's will get faster. And basically f**k you if you don't like it!"
There is some truth in that but your attitude towards people that feed you and your employees is insane.
Another example in response to someone Hyped about "Zebra 3", only because you set yourself up to hear such things by immaturely suggesting a product will come out that is nowhere near finished. The only reason you did so, was damage control of revenue because sales of Z2 plummeted.
Yeah, I'm sorry, but life is a bitch.

Someone that had his lawyer just begin the process of incorporating an LLC that you will most likely be buying from in a few years. Or torrenting, judging by your response. Who knows?jbraner wrote:Who the f**k are you?

TSynth, you are taking Urs second comment out of context. Urs can respond however he likes to someone who is being outright rude, which the poster was. u-he is very open about their thought process and challenges and everything they do (like Urs first comment). The fact that they are a smaller company that puts their all into their products is not lost on us; it is cherished. It makes his users feel a part of the process because they LISTEN to us. If I was concerned about a comment made by Urs or anyone on the u-he team, I would ask about it first instead of insulting and accusing.

In this context, an open forum, there is no need to ask personally. You will be happy with what comes in the future. It doesn't take a small business to listen to their customers. Any wise business would do so. And any wise CEO or Owner wouldn't respond on the same wavelength as a disrespectful customer. There is a balance in business, even if it's open and more personal, that is best for the business and the customers. This is just a fact. You will understand in the future. I am investing in warm sounding DSP, and will invest the same warmth in customer relations! At the end of the day this whole scene is about music and evoking feelings with it. Once again you will all be pleased.clangorous wrote:TSynth, you are taking Urs comment out of context. Since you brought up personal messaging, I am more than willing to take messages from anyone for suggestions or wants they have in synthesizers. I have no intention of hi-jacking this thread with such things so please PM me.
God Bless,

This just in: Random KVR poster who criticizes industry giant for teasing a product before it is ready defends himself by saying that he has an amazing product but that it is not ready.TSynth wrote:Someone that had his lawyer just begin the process of incorporating an LLC that you will most likely be buying from in a few years. I wouldn't be so foolish as to actually mention that I am "Tsynth" from the KVR u-he forums. Can't ignore an identity you don't know!jbraner wrote:No, I won't be torrenting - just ignoring...
I'll be checking sales data for your name, though!
