is inmusic going to make a full installer and not this 'update' installer? i had a fiasco getting BFD3 to run after i updated (about the same crap when roli took over and their first update) i had to uninstall everything program related and reinstalled but now every time i launch BFD3 standalone or as a VSTi i get the bloody migrate pop up screen and no matter if i say cancel or ok i have to sit forever while everything is unresponsive while BFD3 does a bloody scan in the background and sometimes it STILL just will not start (like last night lol)

dealing with BFD3 now is really chaffing my arse

I have a very stable DAW with Win 7 Pro x64 and I favour that stability over anything else...
By that logic, why risk updating BFD or even any of your plugins?

Running the standalone as Administrator should sort you out. There's also a registry edit if that doesn't work - viewtopic.php?p=8089021#p8089021

I've been waiting on a support response for a pretty long time (got a confirmation and then silence) and I just happened upon this forum and it appears that support regarding v3.4 is being provided in this thread! Is this where I need to go now to get my problem solved? I had to start a kvr account just to post but I'd MUCH rather get support via the inhouse method. If someone could let me know which way inmusic wants to go....
Try emailing support@bfddrums.com (mailto:support@bfddrums.com)
That's who I've been emailing along with smorris@inmusicbrands.com (mailto:smorris@inmusicbrands.com) who responded way back.

Updating a plugin is not quite the same as changing a complete operating system...

Most of the plugins I own are happy to run on Win 7 x64 and if they are not compatible, I am happy to leave them behind...

It's a tough world

Hey all,

BFD3.4.1.11 is released. This version should clear up:

* Keychain access nagging on OSX - we no longer use the keychain.
* Factory preset+kit+groove content is now migrated as part of the installer process
* BFD3 has a new migration panel inside it that will only migrate user data - this effectively copies your user data files to the new BFD Drums user folder, and then adds those files to the browser.
* Expansion packs now no longer disable themselves when offline.
* The sluggishness when scanning paths should be much reduced now

You can download it by using the BFD License Manager and checking the downloads under the BFD3 product.

With wifi disabled (Mac, Logic Pro X):

"BFD has been disabled because you are not logged into your inmusic account. Please run the bfd license manager".

I don't get to the point that expansion packs don't work offline because the whole of bfd doesn't work offline in the first place.. is it supposed to still be like that?

Please try logging into your inMusic account via License Manager, and only then going offline. Please let me know.

I've just d'l'd the update. And now even the Standalone wont run, it is locked. Yes, I'm on line, Yes, I've got the license manager open.

That works - once. When I close and re-open Logic and then open BFD again, I need to go online again for starting BFD successfully. I thought the new build would heal that problem?

i just want to say thanks to @Amberience and others working on BFD and refusing to let it die, at least for the time being. i sincerely hope it works out well in the long run. i'm not holding my breath because it's InMusic, but my confidence level in all things BFD has just rose from 1% to 10% :D
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I've got a few reports like this. I'm compiling them and sending to the devs. We will get this fixed!
