"What if I'm using Splice Rent-to-Own?Sindikhate wrote: Mon Mar 17, 2025 9:54 pm What is the deal with the Slice sub on Serum 1? Will people get 2 if they finish paying by the end of the intro price or ?
If you're currently on the Splice Rent-to-Own program for Serum 1:
You'll get access to both Serum 1 and Serum 2
There will be no price increase
Your payment terms remain the same"

Same. I was able to login using my changed password and upgraded to Serum 2 along with activation.mutagen wrote: Mon Mar 17, 2025 11:13 pm Looks like they successfully got Cloudflare implemented (got a rate limiting warning) and the website is up again. Downloading now![]()
Xfer Records, if you're reading this, you really should consider enabling two factor authentication on all user accounts.
To have enabled accounts with no active 2FA is nuts.

Not fixed for me. When I log in it shows my username on the main page, but when I click my account it takes me to someone else's account details.
EDIT: Strangely, after I allowed scripts for google analytics and googletagmanager (which I would think are irrelevant) it showed my own account details and I was able to download.

Hmm, pretty new to Serum as I never bought the original version. Has it always been a quite CPU heavy beast? I'm finding that pretty simple patches quite quickly add up to 20% core usage here on my Mac M1. I don't know why but I always assumed it was light on CPU compared to a lot of the competition?
Maybe Avenger isn't so bloated after all and I was just ignorant.

When i bought it back in was it 2014 or 2015, I seem to recall it was like Diva in cpu use.
I have of course updated computers since (at leadt on the mac side). I would call it reasonable not light or heavy on cpu usage.

So far, Serum 2 is amazing, if the presets are anything to go by! Some presets are brutal though, using up almost 100% of my CPU.

Hold on....how could hacking an account at Xfer give access to anyone's PayPal account? Unless your PayPal log in information was stored on the Xfer servers which would seem like a huge security issue and negate the usefulness of PayPal altogether.TechM3X wrote: Mon Mar 17, 2025 11:08 pm Looks like it was a coordinated cyber attack/hack in which several Xferrecord user accounts got hacked and had their PayPal accounts charged
I've never done business with Xfer and while I am attracted to Serum 2 such a breach gives me pause in making a purchase.

I was a bit of a latecomer to Serum (bought in late '23), but geez, Serum 2 is blowing my mind. I can't believe this is a free upgrade.
