Since the initial launch, I've waited patiently for a good deal on Current. Looks like we're finally there. I even fought GAS for Quanta, because I figured I'd dig the granular engine in Current. Didn't expect a V2 so 'early', but I'm not complaining; it looks like a stellar update.

I reckon I'm going to love it. Time to find out... :hyper:

The plugin boutique video says V2 has over 400 new presets. I can't see them, are they talking shit?

Pity you can't use All Access credits against the discounted price.
It's a bit more than a pity- asking the people who went with rent-to-own to pay $140+ for something that other people can pay $99 for seems like an unfortunate choice.

So.. no demo for the synth yet? Only way to try it is the subscription thing and then cancel it?

It's ridiculous and doesn't make sense at all.
Good way to offend your loyal customers.

Last december I've checked v1. Now I'm a bit in the case of scratching my head - do i need this? I have many other cool synths, so nowadays I've sold my Arturia V Collection and FX Collection, just because my other synth are nicer.
I have one reason to keep looking at current, and this is its flexible effects rack.On the other hand, I'm rather a "preset" guy, so maybe I would not mess with those effects that much, I prefer "almost ready" sounds I can easily found in U-he synths, Omnisphere or GForce stuff or in Kontakt. I also found Pigments "weak", so i'm stil undecided with current.
Last year I had a trial period for current, imho that's over.... It would be cool to see a demo version of v2...
And a 99$ price for a full v2 version can be interpreted this way: it's a cheap software, and also not an excellent quality.... of course there are other interpretations...

They reset the trial for version 2.

hmm, then i demo again, and see what happens.

Unfortunately, I can install current from their 'all access' installer, but neither Reaper, nor FL Studio can open it (FLSTUDIO QUIT!) .
BYE BYE MINIMAL AUDIO, This demo clearly shows, that it's not working in a preferable way. If that's the case I cannot open because last year i had my trial expired, why not show me a message about it? CURRENTly I think this software is not working, I will not buy it.

RE: the All Access Credits

I was fussy at first. But looking at All Access they tell you that the credits do not go toward any sales/deals, etc.

I paid for a perpetual at $99 and you know what? You still get that free year of All Access. There is no way they can feasibly justify giving it away like that with account credits on a sale. So I look at it like I got a perpetual license and a year of All Access for $100, saving me $80 over the next year.

It still lowered my All Software bundle price by $134, changing the bundle price from $271 to $137 (for the four plugins I don't have, $34/ea).

I love Current v2. My favourite synth at the moment.

Damn, Minimal Audio is raising the bar so high, it's making some well-established and well-known brands seem like amateurs. Consistent updates and bug fixes, the choice of perpetual licenses or a subscription, and top-notch after sales tech support are making me love this development team more and more. Now the launch of Current v2 comes out, and previous owners are treated to a free upgrade... pardon me, I need to pick my chin up off the floor!! :o

Ok, I managed to install it (i had to click "try all access free", then buy it for 0 (for this i entered a fake card data - sorry, i don't want to give my card data for a 0 amount transaction).
AFTER DOWNLOADING CURRENT INSTALLER, IN Reaper, after first scan it did not appear, i had to separately check this plugin that failed on plugin scan. Here I could authorize it, and now its working. So i can decide whether I need it or not.

How is it if I buy presets, will they work inside current if some effects are missing or do I have all of their fx in current and they sell these fx only for use outside of current? I am thinking that these fx are like expansion to get the full synth experience?
