The new filters yes. But, but…. Those new fx are next level! The legacy ones sounding pretty pale in comparison. Those new reverbs and creative fx, man

I agree and we can now use them on anything. That alone was easily worth $199Neon Breath wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 6:11 pm The new filters yes. But, but…. Those new fx are next level! The legacy ones sounding pretty pale in comparison. Those new reverbs and creative fx, man![]()

Agreed. Omnisphere 3 just shifted the landscape completely. You’re getting 35 world-class effects built right in and as standalone FX suite for no extra cost while Soundtoys wants $599 for 23 or u-he asks $199 for 10. Compared to Omni’s new effects, those bundles suddenly feel dated and overpriced. Like relics from a pre-Omnisphere era or legacy tools. Spectrasonics quietly rendered half the FX market obsoleteNeon Breath wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 6:11 pm The new filters yes. But, but…. Those new fx are next level! I'm really considering upgrading despite not having installed v2 on my latest system which I acquired almost 5 years ago. I have a few questions for those who have already updated:
1. The site stated 64G storage requirement... can someone confirm that?
2. I realize this will vary depending on many factors, but roughly how long did it take to download the entire package?
3. Aside from the one poster who mentioned payment issues, did anyone have any issues related to payment, download, license setup, or install?

Probably because half the FX market are selling minor variations on the exact same thing. I don’t think the likes of Sinevibes will be having restless nights.enCiphered wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 6:28 pm Spectrasonics quietly rendered half the FX market obsolete![]()

1. I needed 122 GB of space to do the install but I think that’s because the installer package is the same size as what gets installed in the library so you could backup the install files onto a cheap big backup drive and end up only needing the 64GB of space on your ‘proper’ drive. I have my library on an external Samsung T7 drive and it works fine.billinder33 wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 7:23 pm I'm really considering upgrading despite not having installed v2 on my latest system which I acquired almost 5 years ago. 2. I have 1Gb/s fibre but the download was throttled at about half that speed. It never dropped under 300 Mb/s though. Took about 25 minutes.
3. No issues here. I used Paypal.

There are multiple filters in the FX rack though, one of which uses the legacy filter types.

why is nobody talking about the new polyphonic frequenzy shifting ?
i bought it for just that alone.....ahh, and the quad soundslot morph thing.
It means "per key" frequenzy shifting with edit: keyboard tracking per note.
This should mean -how i understand it- that you for example can shift ANY played note, -even vs. polyphonical playing- for lets say "comparable" to a 5th, or anything other. It means using FS but still keep things -somehow- in tune vs. specific intervals. ( requires to set max shift values vs. the FS)
i´ve donne such patches with piano played thru my modular as a cross of mono and poly playing.
That was the time when no digital Freqshifters were on par with the *Good" analog ones. A good freqshifter on Piano is amazing. You can do Jazz, .......just it´s electro,.....with that. Tnis IS amazing. Ahh wait, you folks have no clue what "Electro" means, right ? But you know Jazz ?
Electro ? This is jazz on steroids

need help,
My Omni V3 boxed was in fact a V2 + "contact the support" package deal ( with no such declaration as such)
So i have now that V2 USB stick. I´m not interested in the V2.
Shoul i install my V2 ? Or do i even *have" to install my V2 ?
The only info i have is: contact the tech support at spectrasonics for a free V3 upgrade ( provided: a specific email)
Just, this can be hundreds if not much more such "deals" that went out. Now all these folks contacting that support email.
Not sure if i should wait, even if it takes days, or just install V2 for now .....so agian: do i even HAVE to install my V2 ?
