I have to say I find the Tone 2 line up a bit confusing. Hard to really know the differences between them.

I didn't know Icarus has HCM! Maybe it's because of the harmonics on the wavetable editor.

It would be nice to see alternate skins for the other synths on that chart. I see Icarus has 37 different schemes. I used the alternate white skin for Saurus many years ago, but I think it became incompatible with later versions. It does have a ton of sizes to choose from though, which is great.

I like the new additive modes. Great for disharmonic sounds! I guess this is by design, but the oscillators/phase is always freerunning when using the additive mode?

The forced randomness is indended. Retriggering/syncing additive oscs results in insane volume peaks. People would complain about this.

Wrapping up my soundset for Icarus 3, "Galactic Resonance", should be released tomorrow or the day after. Bank will have 277 presets, 36 Wavetables, 100 resynthesized or raw wav files.

Had a wonderful time exploring all the new features of Icarus 3 in this release. The new unison modes are quite wonderful, my favorite so far. The resynthesis features is one of, if not the best quality I've experienced in a synth. It's a close call between it and phaseplant. On some sounds, it's identical to the imported audio, very hard to distinguish. The wavetable import, likewise. Of particular beauty and interest are the harmonic oscillator effects. They are quite beautiful and stunning, perfect for pads and soundscapes. It's these which inspired the soundset name, galactic RESONANCE. The grainular engine is likewise quite well done, not as thorough as say phaseplant, but very musical and a beloved addition to Icarus. I also liked the "white chorus" effect. Really vibey, 80's washy ambient old school vibes can be had. Also, the glitch box is well done, very rememiscent of Thorn's. I had some great fun exploring this. This was really a well done and huge update to Icarus, leaving quite an impact on sound design this time around. Cheers

Our synthesizer workstation Icarus is capable of over 30 (!) different synthesis methods, which can be combined. All waveforms or wavetables can be modulated and altered in real-time and tweaked with 65 differnt morph modes. Our customer "Cinningbao" created a video about it:
