Apparenlty there are Bots sucking these codes up. I wish Ben and the Mods could come up with a way to ensure these codes are going to contributing members who will have the class to show their appreciation.

I don't think it's bots, codes come from a variety of companies, all with different websites, login processes, and registration methods. That seems like way too many factors to automate. Maybe bots are more sophisticated than I think, but I assume it's just people see someone posting multiple codes and then start refreshing, like the poster above me.

No, I'm talking about bots here in the marketplace forum running scripts to alert of any codes being posted. Then a human takes those codes and goes through the registration process.

That would explain why codes are gone in seconds and there is rarely any show of appreciation.

Either that or we're saying that KVR members have no manners and there is just a bunch of ungrateful d-bags lurking on the forum waiting to snap up codes perhaps with the intention of selling them.

I can afford to buy the software I need so I'm not going to use any codes but I'd rather see those codes go to contributing members of KVR who may not be so financially fortunate.

I suspect that some people that do that are either poor, obsessive or something similar and aren't exactly happy.

Or they could just be greedy, reprehensible, and classless people and if that's the case I stand by my assertion that they should rot.

Of course we have no way of knowing if ether of us is right or wrong but by just comparing the number of codes given away to the number of "thanks" given in return I think we can get a clue of which is more likely.

I hate to see someone's generosity rewarded by a lack of gratitude or worse taking those freebies and turning around and selling them which is about as low life as one could get.

I think we all know this is the case, and a reason why I and many others will give away codes in private.

That's the way it should be done, in private but I understand that one of the more generous members has far more important endeavours (which I support) to focus his time on so I wouldn't expect him to do the same.

I wish I had time to curate the codes and make sure they go to contributing members and not just lurkers who are here for the handouts and give nothing in return but alas I don't have the time to do the job correctly.

It would be nice if KVR would take some positive action but I doubt that will happen so I suppose it is what it is.....
