Has anyone subscribed to Computer Music through Zinio to read on their Android phone? I bought one single issue a while ago, mostly for the software, never subscribed.
It's fine to keep that one issue around, but 24 full issues seems like a lot to store on a phone. Can you delete or un-download issues you own, and get them back later if you want? I know the software is a separate download I do on my computer, but the mag itself doesn't seem super tiny either.
Thanks.

I changed phones, and could download issues I already had downloaded on my previous Android device on the new one too.dwozzle wrote:Can you delete or un-download issues you own, and get them back later if you want?
After a while I quit downloading issues to my phone because I found out that it was much easier just to read the mag in Firefox on my PC.dwozzle wrote:know the software is a separate download I do on my computer, but the mag itself doesn't seem super tiny either.
So my issues are in the cloud now.

I love Zinio. I spend a huge amount of money there, but their Android client is really kind of crappy. It does have an option to not auto download issues, so you can pick and choose (highly recommend you turn this on the storage will kill you otherwise). You can also delete issues from the local Android system and restore them later if you want. It's real problem is when you have tons of issues, it really doesn't handle that very well. The UI for managing deleting and restoring seems to be designed for someone that has 3-4 magazines total. I have three years worth of a half-dozen or more magazines. The UI on Android for managing that is very painful. If you set it up to not auto-download and you purge issues after you are done with them you can manage it. Though reading issues on my phone (S4) isn't really a good time, I tried and gave it up. My 10" Android tablet is much better. My PC using Zinio Reader is great.
I renewed my Computer Music with this deal, 50% off is pretty good for Zinio. Now I have 2.75 years left on my sub. Hope they don't go out of business before then.

Subscription costs €60 (+10 in shipping for customers outside Germany).
Note that they now only accept bank transfers as payment, I guess there were those in the past who paid their sub by credit card and cancelled it once they got their plug delivered....
wow i dunno if i shall jump on this, this is a bargain isnt it? even i got enough synths this is tempting

+1 to all of that. I usually use it either on my pc or ipad but what you said still stands for that. Really all I want to do is just see all of my CM mags at once and they make that very hard. Same with restoring old ones, you can do it, but it seems like it takes me 5-10min to figure it out each time because there isnt a straight forward way to get it into a mode where you can see all issues and manage at once. You have to get it into a certain view, and then hit edit while in the right mode to be able to see them allmsorrels wrote:I love Zinio. I tried to subscribe and there is an option with a bill to be sent. I wrote to them with Google Translate to ask them how to get Spire for free since I don't speak German.Caine123 wrote:Numanoid wrote:First time subscribers to Beat Magazine can get Spire free, with a 1 year subscription

I had very bad experience with Beat (and i was not the only one). Im from Germany and the last offer from them was Ozone 5 for a 1-year-subs and although i emailed them before and they confirmed me personally that i will get my Ozone 5 for a subscription i received an email a few weeks later (after i ordered of course) that they can't deliver it.Ryan99 wrote:I tried to subscribe and there is an option with a bill to be sent. So be careful with them, you have no guarantee that you get what they tell you.
