Just like Slayer - couple of albums in they release a monumental album and can't top it with subsequent efforts.

Celtic Frost managed to top Mega Therion with Into the Pandemonium, which was an awesome achievement, but then...ahem...lost the plot to say the least

Tangerine Dream should have called it quits DECADES ago....

AJFA wasn't quite up to the standard set by MoP, but I certainly wouldn't qualify alot of it for sooooooooockage.

I see where you're coming from, but you gotta look at Pandemonium in the context of what the thrash scene was up to when this came out. There was no-one doodling with rap/drum machines in the thrash fraternity and suddenly these Swiss gurners threw One in Their Pride atcha...Agreed, it ain't a good track, but it's what they achieved with its release. Eet broke zee ground and opened zee eyes, yes?
There's some extraordinairily good stuff on that album that was highly advanced for its time and still stands today. Having said that, ya can't go wrong with To Mega Therion...

Actually (hate using that word) it was SW, EJ, DW and Gladys Knight. It was first performed by Rodney Stewart in the film Night Shift.
