I'd say.. Some of his stuff he releases is sometimes quite 'cheeky' and 'poppy' which can be quite entertaining when compared to other more 'serious' techno. Listening to DJ sets is a probably a better way to get a feel of techno (or even better- going to clubs!) A lot of techno is designed to be mixed, often at quite a fast rate, so listening to a whole song on its own can be quite tedious.
If you liked thomas I recommend looking out for sets by 'dj tim' and 'd.a.v.e the drummer'
