Are you using automation, controller joystick, or both on the XY option?mkastrup wrote:In oldskool example 01 (the jazzy one) i use a patch named lead creator which i modified using the XY option.

No automation and the funky lead needs its Y axis set to 100chardin wrote:Are you using automation, controller joystick, or both on the XY option?mkastrup wrote:In oldskool example 01 (the jazzy one) i use a patch named lead creator which i modified using the XY option.
Besides that you will have to compensate for volume settings cause i adjust volume on presets rather than the mixer.
Here is the MIDI file:

The sounds should all be included in the little patch bank i put up for download months ago except the tom.
Cant remember if i included a Lead Sine but in that cast just change the Lead Jazzy Saw into a Sine instead, should be the same thing i think.

The presets on Example 2,4 and 8 are just magical, and those are the one's MIDI files' I'd be interested in.mkastrup wrote:Nopes, these are Cubase Projects. If i made them into MIDI it wouldnt be quite the same.HunterKiller wrote:BTW, did you make MIDI files of these examples?
In oldskool example 01 (the jazzy one) i use a patch named lead creator which i modified using the XY option. If you
were to load a MIDI file of this arrangement you would only get the default lead creator sound.
Same thing goes for the oldskool sequencing example where i use a String with XY settings.
But if you name me Which of the demos you would like to see as a MIDI file then i could experiment a bit.

You could include it in the preset pack when the whole thing comes out.
The very first preset on Zebra Oldskool 4 reminds me of the Mixturtrautonium from the '50s or something by Vangelis from the 70' - it's a very very 'nostalgic' sound, I like it.

Ok, i'll include 2,4 and 8 as MIDI files and i will make a copy of the Stringer XY settings for example 2. Prolly gonna call them Stringer XY A and Stringer XY B, anyway i'll figure something out. The patch used for the Vangelis like sound is called Symphonic Saw and is also one of my favsHunterKiller wrote:The presets on Example 2,4 and 8 are just magical, and those are the one's MIDI files' I'd be interested in.

Ok time for the last demo case, it's made with a very big HINT on the word Oldskool in mind:
Everything is Zebra only + added slight limiter.
http://www.michaelkastrup.com/synthdemo ... ool_10.mp3
From now on its mostly about wrapping it all up as a package and comming up with the last 5 patches.
Thanks for all the
and positive feedback.

I must say, these patches are highly impressive. But then, Michael seems to be a great overall musician as well - that certainly helps!

Urs, are you going to offer Michael's bank from your website, or will he be selling it directly?
