wow. The examples for the uhbik flanger even managed to impress me. Which isn't normally done, as I HATE FLANGERS most of the time. This one lets you tone down the gross whoosh jet plane noise though, which turns it into an extremely interesting effect!
I should note that most of my flanger experience comes from the stereotypical "lolololol hair metal jet plane whooshy noises lololol" guitar pedal variety, though. Never used anything that properly simulates ADT and tape flanging (I was thinking of buying the audiodamage flanger, but now I'm saving for uhbik's introductory offer... If Uhbik-F changes my opinion of flangers I'll probably wind up with both in the end though)

That's good. I don't have any AD stuff, but everything in Uhbik is carefully designed to not overlap too much with theirs (or those of other developers I somehow like).MitchK1989 wrote:If Uhbik-F changes my opinion of flangers I'll probably wind up with both in the end though

None of the above! It's Run-sitter. At least, as a British surname it is.viudu wrote:What's the phonetics of Runciter?

jokes aside, no pressure Urs. I'm pretty much going to buy whatever you release, it seems. Perhaps you should have a subscription service for the uhe fanboyen...

I once had that idea... life time license, updates & support for all current and future plugins for $666 single payment, existing licenses could be added insuthnear wrote:Perhaps you should have a subscription service for the uhe fanboyen...
Unfortunately abondoned it when I thought I'd team up with some other dev... hmmm... gotta give my lawyer a task and work it out maybe...

This is setting off 'irony' and 'convergence' buttons in my head. I'm a PKD fanatic -- since 1965 for those who count such stuff -- and Ubik is one of the man's greatest. Urs, I don't believe this effect package is anything like "Safe When Used As Directed," and I'd like one as soon as it's ready! The flanger is insane!

Only Uhbik can bring your music back from half-life! And yes, indeed, Uhbik is absolutely safe, when used as directed!funkychickendance wrote:I don't believe this effect package is anything like "Safe When Used As Directed,"
(the directions seem to grow int the quite exhaustive domain btw.)
Note: Runciter is deliberately taken out of the Uhbik-? naming scheme. No matter what directives are given, it can always harm.

Funny, I compared Liquid to UHBIK F and UF still sounds smoother IME. Theres just something about F that keeps the underlying audio intact where other flangers tend to add swooshing and coloration. Another aspect I like is if you push F to extremes it is more forgiving like an analog flanger while Liquid tends to drown out the dry signal. I did some serious phase analysis of Kjaerhus GMO-1, Waves MetaFlanger (even with inversion!!) and UHBIK F has a much more cohesive image (which is important when mixing separate effected audio together).MitchK1989 wrote:wow. Simply put, there are features in UHBIK F that you cannot get in any other soft flanger.

There will be a DEMO before it goes live?

But of course! - I'm not sure if there'll be a "preview" though... I'd rather wait with everything until it's finished. Last time I did a preview (MFM2) it took me months to wade through the user feedback until I could finally finish things...alexfalcao wrote:There will be a DEMO before it goes live?

Then I wouldn't do the preview if there's a DEMO, also Recession is spreading throught the planet,Urs wrote:But of course! - I'm not sure if there'll be a "preview" though... Hello Urs,
Any news on UHBIK? It's coming before Christmas? I have to place my letter to Santa on my Christmas tree, I have pressure from my kids, my card is the only one missing.
Alex.

8 effects are finished and in the phase of preset design and manual writing.alexfalcao wrote:Hello Urs,

Alex.
What's not yet there is Uhbik-X. I've got it running, but without proper gui and without all modulations and routing options in place.
Hence I see myself releasing the current state as a preview, with an unbeatable pre-order offer. This will happen next week, possibly on Monday or Tuesday even.
Fingers crossed!
