I didn't get any sleep last night or on either plane. I used a wrong word by accident, and I just don't care.
Why do people feel the need to correct grammar online? Everyone types something wrong sometimes. Who cares?

If anything I'd say any intelligent person should type in an equally intelligent manner, and any student of the English language will notice mistakes by others casually as they read through a sentence.
There's still no real reason to point out said mistakes on an audio forum.

Rubbish. The reason is to allow the author to correct the mistake, not to make them feel small. When you write anything on the web you are effectively publishing it and the beauty of this medium is that it is easy to correct errors of fact, typos etc. Tipping someone off to an error which they can correct is actually doing them and other readers a service. There's no need to be upset - a simple thankyou will doMitchK1989 wrote:

I dunno, but unless you want to make mistakes it could be helpful. Complaining about it seems more pointless, IMO.koolkeys wrote:Why do people feel the need to correct grammar online? Everyone types something wrong sometimes. Who cares?
A: Here, let me help you with this music stuff.
B: Thanks! I really appreciate it alot!
A: BTW, it should be "a lot".
B: f**k you, c**t!
Surely there must be consensus by now...

it has become one of my pet peeves! I think most people try to get it right, why get so bothered over a couple of grammar errors? Shit happens!koolkeys wrote:I didn't get any sleep last night or on either plane. I used a wrong word by accident, and I just don't care.

MELODYNE of course.
The new Direct note access is really something to look forward to. Or was that, as the other guy said, an early april fool's joke?

Um. More info please?DocAtlas wrote: The latest issue of Electronic Musician has pics and an ad for NI's new Maschine; a beatbox-style controller with software. That may be the new producer offering. On the back cover, MOTU is showing a similar product, but it looks like it can run standalone or with a computer.

Well, normally, I would care. And if you look through my posts, you'll see that I don't leave many spelling errors. But hey, it's a forum. Who cares? And many people here don't even speak English as their first language.hibidy wrote:it has become one of my pet peeves! And as I said, no sleep for 30 hours will do that to you. I just think it's a complete waste of ego to try and correct somebody on the forums for a simple mistake. Then again, Ubiety already has something against me, so it seemed even more useless to me.
Anyways, enough about that, I guess. I'm, in need, of, sleep, or the, NAMM, won,t be ver'y funn four me?

I'll probably go to both.....drink some champagne, then go over to the other and get some chewing gum. Drugs and prostitutes are against the law.....I like not being in jail
