Tracktion is alive

Well I decided to e-mail Mackie asking if they planned on at least putting out a compatibility update for Windows 7. Their (two) responses:
current retail bundles of Tracktion 3 are being discontinued - this is due to the amount of third party software that is included in these unique bundles and our contractual agreements with these companies. Tracktion, as a platform, will remain available through our website and we will fully support the software under the terms of our support policies. We also plan on releasing exciting new developments to the platform in the future unfortunately, I haven't seen any updates floating around the building which means there wouldn't be anything anytime soon.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Hi,
There is no news about a release for a compatibility upgrade in the near future. You will need to make the decision based on your particular needs. Sorry about the inconvenience!

Maybe you could reply, thank the person, and tactfully explain that for many Tracktion users, "exciting new developments to the platform" would include things like....making it work properly.
My gear:
Motif XS7, Echo AudioFire 4 interface, Mac Pro (Jan 2008 version), MXL 2006 and SM58 mics, KRK RP5 monitors, Tracktion 3 DAW

Hi,
There are exciting new developments planned. For example, we're going to be adding more fantastic sounding Hip-Hop loops to the bundle and a couple of great new Synthedit freeware instruments.
I know you all think we took a great bit of software and killed it, but really, we have some exciting things planned for it...just don't expect to see them anytime in the next few years.
Oh and...sorry for the inconvenience !

We'll be needing them........

I just fired up T3 on an old G4 desktop, because I wanted to use the Finalmix plugin for some stuff.
I had completely forgotten what a good app T really is. (was)
That's a real shame what Mackie did. I can't imagine Jules being happy with this situation.

Really missing the old(e) days when it was Jules' project alone, and he was here all the time answering questions, taking suggestions and posting new builds. Still a great prog, though, as is.
