I liked it, but it goes all the time, so it's either my computer does all the playing, or I transpose it live and just never stop.

I'm pretty sure that when I donated, the Paypal form said 'Minimum donation = 10 EUR' which is what I donated.

If the play button is pressed, it will run always (for adjusting without the host to be playing).
Without the play button pressed, it should only be runnig when the host is playing/rec.
If not: what host do you use?

Hi WOK,
I like the plugin and have been experimenting with it in a few pieces. If your up for some feedback and possible feature requests ... a Swing option would be very useful, a wider midi note range would make it more usable with some of my (Kontakt) instruments that have lower or higher note ranges, and a wider range of tempo options would make it usable to generate, for example, very slow note changes at a rate much slower than the project/host tempo that could drive ambient effects or percussive accents, etc. Nice work though, great concept.

FYI, it now plays the first note in Cubase! Glad it's usable now! =P

Pretty cool plugin, allthough this may not be entirely for me. This plugin is still very well designed, and got some functionality that I kinda like.

Hi wok,

I think your Blip2000 could do with being bigger.

It's real home will be on touchscreens and tablets.

if you search youtube with "my max/msp lemur sequencer "

you can see a step sequencer with buttons big enough for comfortable use.

The colour schemes being used for the lemur patches are mostly neon.

When you press the buttons they get brighter, very attractive.

You will find a lot of us are attracted to the flashy lights and colours.

My bet is..
if you release a few more, blip2000's
bigger and in different neon skins,
and advertise the touchscreen capability,

then a budget lemur tag with catch on.

Lemurs cost 1000's

If you build it they will come.

My offer to p-shop up some skins and buttons stands.

Possible size depends on the resolution of the touch screen.

I totally agree with this. I'm getting frustrated, I got a tablet pc (mono touch) and I really would like to find / buy a vsti / stand alone program that will emulate a monome and/or a tenori-on with the possibility to output midi and use custom patches without having to use complicated software like max or puredata. With tons of mid tablets coming out, this will indeed be the future of matrix step sequencers like the monome (ok, the monome is just a controller, but you know what I mean).

I really want one of this.

Hey WOK, just found this thread and started reading from this page, and WOW (!!!) ~ how COOL is THIS?!!! Going to DL now.

Though I don't personally foresee a need, nor have the desire for one, I do totally agree with the "touch" scenario's expressed here, and even a mini version for that iPHONE or iPAD (whatever) phenomenon could/would sooo work FOR you [$$$].

This thing LOOKS so cool!!! Going to read the rest of the thread...

I will collect suggestions for the next version. But this needs a complete overhaul as it was a quick cluttered work.
Plans so far:
- bigger buttons (but needs to fit 1024x768)
- extra row for velocity/CC per step
- selectable note scales
- "wipe over" capability instead of "click per button"
- I am thinking of 4 pages for 3 different sequ lines + drums

All great ideas, particularly the selectable note scales - I use it with the force-to-scale plug-in in Live, but built-in would be even better, and I see you've already got plug-ins that will do this.

Could you do velocity per note, rather than per step? I always used to like the step sequencer in FXpansion's DR-008, where you could click and hold on each note, then move the mouse up or down to change the velocity; this would also change the lightness of the colour of the note selected. Something like that would be excellent.

I think somone else mentioned a swing option? That could also be useful.

Yeah, about that no midi thing with the device in the link you gave - wouldn't it be possible to use one of the many available audio-to-MIDI solutions to turn this into a very inexpensive hardware sequencer? just thinking out loud, here.

In fact, this would be incredibly good value for money, wouldn't it?
