:tu: to all involved.

And to the few who went for my patches (string1 and metallic paddy thingy) please improve on them :) I'd only been playing with Zebra demo for a few days before the contest so anyone with more experience could 'polish them off' (to coin a phrase?)

Congrats, mharnishfeger! And to everyone who contributed as well: there was a lot of great material for everyone in this round. :D In the end, it's great to win, but the windfall of new free inspirational patches is what it's about too. ;)

It was cool to resurrect one of my old favorite patches from my DX7 days but I missed spelling Fq in Hz or in harmonic ratios. I also found myself struggling with the envelopes: the 4-level 4-rate envelopes of the DX had a flexibility and precision which I found difficult to emulate with Zebra's, although the MSEG are the way to go there. And of course, there's the two missing operators...But I'm comparing apple and oranges: it's amazing what Zebra can accomplish as is!

Finally had time to check out ZPC-16. I thought BS Danger Zone was pretty close, but I thought it needed some more bite to it. On the FMO 1, I increased FM to 41.00, and Velocity to 48.00. Just a suggestion for what was a good patch to start with. I think FM Clavistar+ sounds pretty cool, I like it even better when I change the Voice Mode to arpeggiator, with the Arp Sync at 1/16.
