I have never played a D-50 but from how it is constructed, Zebra seems like it would be good for many D-50 sounds because you have such good control over attack sounds in Zebra. Plus the semi-modular design!

Maybe just a sticky thread for sounds and compositions for u-he synths. I've made Zebra sound example threads but they fall down the list and are lost!

Indeed! I've made a few D-50 like sounds too. The second sound here for example: http://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio/zebra-vs-vroom I don't know of any other plugin which can get this kind of sounds
