One thing I really liked about Diva is the Voice Map Modulator
Just by assigning two voices to have different sync or octave......you instantly get a full range sound from just one osc.....it also helped do perfect unison panning.....like Zebra's Width....

I want something like this for Zebra.......a voice mod for parameters in OSC Module.....knobs for maybe four voices, to freely assign different tune, osc fx or sync values to the different voices........it'll be like instant mixture of awesome sounds coming from a single module....say it sounds good at scrambler value a and also at b...used dual voices and assigned one voice to value a and another voice to value b.....this will make a single OSC module a whole lot powerful...

Any Plans??...I am really hoping for this.........I used the Voice Map a lot when I did patches for Diva.....it was new to me and I loved it.....

also FM Module needs more voices.....like NI FM8's Unison....

+1 ^

I always loved having a voice map mod, mainly for panning, but its always fun to use for other stuff

As you might know... the mother of the voice map is the ModMapper (or Mapping Generator, as it's called in ACE). This already exists in Zebra, but we might need to add voice stacking to reach its full potential.

I can't say anything about Massive, but we've greatly improved the XYs in Zebra over time. A quick right-click on any knob lets you assign it to any X or Y axis, up to 8 parameters per axis. You can then chose the influence (positive, negative and even unipolar) in XY Assign tab for each parameter... in short: 64 parameters can be controlled by 4 XY pads, or those 8 knobs.

Also, you can right-click an XY for a couple of "intelligent" standard assignments (filters, envelopes).

So they're actually not that intimidating anymore as back in 2005, and I think we might have a few extra ideas for upcoming versions.

Hi y'all,
I always wished Zebra looked more like FAW Circle, or that Circle sounded more like Zebra! Anyway, I'd like to see Zeb's GUI going in that direction, very clean, spacious, and the visual feedback of LFOs and envelopes etc is quite fun too. Circle is just a bit too dark overall...
+1 for wider rather than taller for widescreen monitors.
+1 for making the 8 knobs (XY pads) more of an obvious feature, it seems to be catching on as a standard in interfacing...so why not...

I'd also love to see a vocoder module based on the Nord Modular vocoder module. lots of fun to be had with that, especially in Zebrify!

Long live Urs! :)

Funny how a lot of the feature requests are for things already in Zebra.
I guess some looking at the manual can be beneficial.

Where's the "like" button mcnoone?

As you speak about the Massive: Sometimes I pondered how it might be to have the Modulation-amt around the main-knobs of the main-panels (OSC, Filters etc.), and not aside/between them as black dots.
This might maybe improve the clarity in the panels, maybe this way it wouldn't be necessary to have hidden sub-pages in the osc-panel, for example. These NI-rings make the Guis a bit more tidy, I believe, and would leave a little more place between these main-knobs for more graphical clarity.
And for all other "Modulation-with" there would still be the Mod-Matrix that was used so far...
I also always liked the manner FabFilter handled their "modulate with..."-solution in their Twin2.
(btw, I also like your Zebra very much for it's clarity, but both just as examples for possible improvements...) :)

...or in Alchemy. Yup. Wondered that too.

Oki.. well I'm planning on demoing a few new synths in the near future, and haven't tried Zebra for probably a few years, so maybe I'll give it a whirl too. I know the XMF filter sound pretty lush..

Aaah... but all things are not 'quite' the same!

Still, wait for the anticipated November/December update.

And by wait you mean, buy now-use to its fullest, and then have your socks blown off with succsessive updates.
