Imo both are a bit pricey for what they offer.
Vocodex costs less and does more.

Also Matrix sounds as far away from a VSM201 as any other software vocoder.

I agree that for the prices being asked, a vocoder would have to approach the Sennheiser in sound quality, and I don't hear that yet. I do think that Vocodex appears to be a good value. I have yet to set up the demo...too many things to do... :?

Tommy Mars ... I spent many hours with my Oberheim FVS-1 setting up his brass sound... which album(s) is the vocoder on?
