I never viewed NI as a competitor. They cater for a different audience and vice-versa. Monark may create a bit of overlap, but if it's spot on then maybe we can use it to model an alternative Minimoog filter for Diva. Our's is a bit on the mellow side and I've always toyed with the idea of getting a more aggressive Mini to add another flavour.

Yes, well, I would expect you to take the high road, but I still think its rather inconsiderate.

For the record, I own Zebra, Diva, and Komplete 8 Ultimate. I'll probably be (grudgingly) upgrading to Komplete 9 Ultimate as well, and give Monark a try. To be honest, the Minimoog aspect of Diva was always the least interesting part for me. I just love having a huge, gorgeous Roland/Oberheim polysynth at my disposal.

I used to have a couple of OB8's w MIDI and a Jupiter 8 back in the day

Those OB8's were really something special....

They had serious thump

But I prefer software these days because the logistics are more manageable..

Considering I personally only own your digital synthesis stuff (Zebra, Filterscape and MFM2), I'm completely behind your digits!

Honestly, I like NI, Absynth is a staple for me, but why even bother with an emulation at this point? Diva, Synth Squad, Minimonsta etc. the list goes on. Like everyone else here I don't see the point in competing against Diva in this arena? IMO if I free up $149 anytime soon it will be for Diva not the "Kompete" upgrade.

I still have an Andromeda, MKS-70, Juno-106, etc., etc... but I'm far too lazy to use them when Diva is just a mouse click away. They've all been "retired by Diva"!

that's the only thing I got from the Monark teaser video, some tasty filter action going on. A more aggressive filter for Diva would be lovely

Thank you, Urs, for turning your ideas into reality. Seriously, thank you very much.

Diva's key feature is it has the best of both world - great analog-like sound without typical limitations of analog gear. Actually Diva is much more than an emulation of a few vintage synths.

In general, I can not think of any reason to create digital emulation of analog box without additional capabilities of digital gear. That's why for me Diva and Monark are completely different instruments. Though Monark is Reaktor-based, and you're probably can tweak its structure, but anyway.

Hell no. You got that one very wrong. Service Center is extremely easy and a breeze to work with, and never produces any problems from my experience. No problems using a licence on multiple computers, no need for constant reauthorization like some other C&R methods. It's very unintrusive, in fact.
