It's a sync sweep patch - Monark has no sync. DIVA's sync is as fine as I have ever heard from a VA. Sync separates the wheat from the chaff even more so than resonant filter sweeps imo. Few do it as well as DIVA. I think half of the synths with a top-notch sync come from U-He :hihi: NI's Massive has a very high-quality sync, but it's not quite as smooth (analog) as U-He's synths imo.

Another drawback for me is the pitch-bend setting limitations. It's amazing how we've come to take for granted the many features offered by VAs, and how a fine instrument like the mini looks so basic by today's standards. It has some very basic musical limitations, such as the ability to set upward and downward bend ranges independently (Monark too).

If the sound is truly great, the synth will still be very useful. Even so, it's hard not to think DIVA when they say "revolution."
