Wow OK so time from clicking post to message posted appears to be much faster now. That's positive!

Then you've been missing out on the "if zombies chase us I'm tripping you" t-shirt girlsockofgold wrote:Use a script blocker and a Flash blocker, man. It's not like you have to give me a !@#$%! headache to grab my attention.

The new look is hard to navigate with a mouse and i'm on a 27" screen, don't like the colour at all here. Also why is it that i can't see KVR in full screen here? At VSE there's a button to click and BINGO i have full screen.. see images here.
KVR - Hmmm

VSE - Nice

Is there no way to stretch KVR? It looks crap from here.

Oh geez. I am thankful to be able to say that I have no clue what you're talking about.Lode_Runner wrote:Then you've been missing out on the "if zombies chase us I'm tripping you" t-shirt girl
The last ad I remember seeing (and the one that made me decide it was time to start blocking them all) was the one a few years ago for that arpeggiator plugin (Catanya, maybe?), which had a girl who looked like Leeloo from The Sixth Sense picking her nose at the camera.
Ads are okay when they're not invasive or obnoxious, but KVR's ads are both. So they get blocked.

If you go into KVR Preferences there is a "Forum Screen Resolution Tweak" that enables you to set a custom width for your resolution. The problem is it's a hack and not really a substitute for automatically resizing when you use multiple screens (as most of us probably do) which most forums are able to do these days. KVR is built on an ancient crumbling forum framework that makes it hard to change, it looks like what Ben is trying to do ultimately is move the whole forum to a more modern framework so we will be able to have things like auto resize and maybe even Tapatalk but I guess it can't be done easily or all at once (however once a more modern forum framework is in place it is usually easier to upgrade after that too)rob_lee wrote:The new look is hard to navigate with a mouse and i'm on a 27" screen, don't like the colour at all here. And that took 60 seconds. Thanks again. Still getting the banner ad for some reason.

You might need an ad-blocker as well--not all of the ads on KVR are Flash. In Chrome, I have AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, Ghostery, ScriptSafe, and plugins (i.e. Flash) only running on-demand. Not sure what browser you're using, but with this setup, ads (and tracking scripts as well) are a thing of the past. The only that shows up on KVR is they one they plaster on the background (currently 8Dio Bassoon).audientronic wrote:And that took 60 seconds. Thanks again. Keep in mind that KVR is ad supported. If everyone uses ad blockers and can't see the ads, KVR goes away. Also when using the default browser on a Windows 8 tablet, blocking ads is not an option.sockofgold wrote: Use a script blocker and a Flash blocker, man. Keeping some well-behaved, relevant music ads is a good thing. Bizarre T-shirt ads give the site a desperate appearance of either trying to cash in or being in financial trouble.
