Expected Valhalla DSP and Exponential Audio to be in that list but where was Eventide Blackhole?

Well, I doubt that the developer was doing this just out of their own initiative. Apple is going to start enforcing "code signing" for AudioUnits in Logic X at some point. It has already happened in GarageBand X. In order to pass the security requirements, the plugin has to be signed with a certificate (not that big of a deal), and be built with a VERY recent SDK. As far as I recall - and I might be wrong, so other devs feel free to correct me - the SDK you need to use only has code compatibility back to OS 10.7.TheoM wrote: By the way, i am going to be the first one to go on record publicly and say, making a PLUGIN incompatible with a 2 year old operating system (my imac was purchased with snow leopard from apple 2 years 3 months back) is ridiculous. And severely in the minority. In fact, there is only one other plug in i know of, out of more than a thousand available, that requires 10.7 +.

It's nice to be in the same list as those other devs! Lots of names I respect in there.Kaboom75 wrote:Expected Valhalla DSP and Exponential Audio to be in that list but where was Eventide Blackhole?

Phoenix and R2 here.
Astonishing blend factor.
Big fan of Sony HW reverbs also, besides of the Lex.

After some very emotional and at times torturous auditions I'm settled on Phoenix. This is the only iLock plugin I'll ever buy.
@Lotuzia
In regards to Sony reverbs are you talking about DRE S777, DPS-V55, DPS-R7 or the Oxford? I really like the sound (or should I say samples) in DRE S777 but it is so clunky and uncomfortable to use... Mighty good though...
I also played with Ircam Verb session and I wish I could buy it too but it was not nearly as convincing as the Phoenix reverb. However, for piano and cellos it was giving me some incredibly enhancing spaces but I couldn't get something as nice on some of my fingerpicking tracks...very, very strange...

Thanks everyone for helping me out with this decision. Now I just need to wait till the end of the month.
My personal reason for anti ilock stance stems from two unlucky experiences. One iLock got stolen and another one was crashed during my last tour. Some of the programs that I used were bought by my clients, some were gifts etc, etc...recuperating all these stuff was simply hell or impossible. In addition to that it did make one of my main systems very unstable. With phoenix I'm somewhat in a corner albeit an incredibly spacious one...
