Ditto zxant's experience - scanning in Tracktion 4 also workerd for a couple of other Arturia plugs (Spark 2 and the Vox Continental V) that had failed in Tracktion 6. This is on Windows 8.1 64 bit, Tracktion 6 64 bit.

The same worked for Waldorf Attack and Cakewalk CA-2A (it was the VST3 that wasn't scanning in Tracktion 6, I think the VST2 was ok), i.e. I deleted them from the failed plugins and re-scanned them using Tracktion 4, they then appear ok in Tracktion 6.

I suppose what this means is that I don't really know exactly which of my plugns would fail in Tracktion 6, as a load of them I've had since I've upgraded from Tracktion 4 and 5, so they'd already scanned in fine. This includes a lot of other Arturia ones.

The only plugs I'm now struggling with are Air's Loom, Hybrid, Vacuum Pro and Velvet. These don't scan in T4, T5 or T6. I'll mention this workaround I've found in case it's useful to anyone else here, but you'll need to have a copy of jBridge - I've bridged these 64 bit plugins for use in a 64 bit host (yes, this seems slightly bizarre). These bridged versions, which I've got in a separate path, away from my main VST folder, scan and work fine in Tracktion 6.

Well Tracktion still doesn't fully support VST3 anyway, for now I mainly use VST2s Tracktion, and just use AU when I have to (but I would prefer better support for those too).

SQ8L crashes T 6.2.3 32 bits here. Only me?

Also, are others experiencing problems with Korg Legacy? Reported early in the thread. Has there been an effort to fix this?

That's my experience too. If I really need to run a plugin that doesn't work in Tracktion, I load it into Patchwork.
