Minor bug using curve points with automation.

Set three points on an automation line and drag the middle point upwards. the curve point on the right will be fine, but the one on the left will move freely only until -.500, after that (if you let go of it) it will be unmovable by dragging it again, you have to go to the properties menu for the node behind it and adjust "curvature."

The automation at that curve will work, but it does not update graphics on the filter until it gets to the middle node that you created. The attached picture shows this. Although, while actually playing I think it updates fine.

Major Bug.

User created plugin presets do not load from the LOAD button in plugin properties menu.

If you drag a preset from the left side pane to load a plugin it does work. But, if you do that, then change it's settings, loading ANY preset for that plugin from the properties load button will send it back to the original preset you dragged, not the one you select.

Hi Kang, thanks for reporting. The preset loading bug will be fixed in the next release (6.1.0).
I'm taking a look at the automation curve now. It does appear to only be a graphical error when playback is stopped. During playback it should be correct and the audio should also be correct.

Hi,

could you notify or tagging the new text in language file will product with new release and new features?

It's more easy for language translator to recognise new text.

Thanks

Two big suggestions for step sequencer.

1) Not just volume bars but also pan and pitch (maybe with two settings: pitching with timescretching and without)

2) Make rolls possible. possibility to split one hit to smaller pieces (1/2,1/4,1/8,1/16,1/32). FL Studio does it and it is one of the reason why it is so popular for genres like Trap etc.

Hi Didas_94 we're finalising a lot of new text at the moment with all the new features, once we're done we'll update the online language files.

Pitch is something we are likely to add in the future, not sure exactly when yet though. I'm not sure what you mean about time-stretching though, the step clip just sends out MIDI so a pitch lane would just pitch individual notes up or down, there's no real audio file playback going on.

This is possible although a little fiddly at the moment. Say you want the last beat of a bar to be 1/8 and the rest 1/4 you would just create a sequence of 12 steps at 1/4 followed by a sequence on 8 steps at 1/8.

It sounds more complicated than it looks in a step clip.

Eight years ago some guy requested feature i'm still missing.

It would be really nice to have an posibility to define shortcut to Export->render to a file.
I use it quite often,

please???

Hello all:
New to the forum. Never belonged to any forum, I don’t spend much time on the web, any more than I have to. I’ll try not to be too annoying. I wanted to be picky and post some T6 wants, to what is already a great program. All of my suggestions are in keeping it simple & clean.

Would like to haves:
(1) I Miss the line between inputs and tracks, sometimes is a little disorienting.
(2 ) Quick way to global volume all tracks (maybe has this already and I just don’t know it)
(3) Double clicking on a marker clip, sets I & O markers.
(4) Folder tracks can be bus tracks also, eliminating extra tracks.
(5) A mono switch in master output section,(that also flashes when engagred, (for those of us who can get caught up in the mix, and forget it’s engaged).
(6) Slightly increase size of clip end volume handles,(maybe increase lighted effect during mouse-over) can be very tedious.
Bugs: Many undo’s sometimes crashes T6.
Opening project edit sometimes crashes T6.

Ok, this is my first request.

In Reaper, there is something called Regions and with this Region thing you can export/Render multiple files in one click and I am really missing that function in Tracktion as it can save lot of precious time when rendering multiple clips.
reaper.JPG
When Reaper Export those Regions as wav/mp3 or whatever extension, it exports the clips the way you renamed it and the length you specified.

And I think it can be done easily in tracktion with Add marker clip thing.

These are some good ones.

1. I agree with this and it would be nice to have this section scale-able again.

2. This is one that has been eluded to earlier in this thread, it would be very useful. The way Tracktion uses filters for volume seems to complicate it since you may have more than one volume filter on each track. As suggested before, filter groups would be a great addition. There is also "select all filters of the same type" option when you right click a plugin that can select all volume filters. I use that and then de-select any extra volume filters, but that still doesn't solve it ideally.

3. Do you know about the keyboard shortcut (M) that puts i/o markers around selected clip?

4. I thought they might have addressed this recently by allowing plugins on folder tracks and calling them "submixes". Not exactly the same, but very similar result.

5. and 6. Both good ideas also.

1) I am sorry i was thinking about sampler connected to step clip that has option to scretch its samples or pitch it. You are right of course, i made things more complicated...

2)Yeah, i know that but it is not comfortable if you wanna experiment with created sequence. I prefer to convert it into midi notes but it is not perfect.

step sequencer clip :
per channel mute and solo
audio preview direcly in the step sequencer clip (clic near the channel name for example) like in the midi clip piano roll

Thanks for the reply: Kang

(1) Scale-able would be nice also, on everything for that matter. I remember the properties panel use to be scale-able also.

(2) Use this, however, still gets me in trouble sometimes, (missing an automate-able vol. pan) I wonder what happened to my sound, then realize I missed un-selecting a filter.

(3) Use that as well, just always thinking how to make things more fluid (efficient). From hearing others, it seems I have to spend much more time on a mix than most others.( I’m a bit of a perfectionist ) I can usually get the sound I want, or fairly close (with reasonable recordings), but it takes me a while. I use to use Acid Pro many years ago, and it had this feature, (I jump around a lot) I thought it was very handy.

(4) I like to solo drums & bass together (as well as other combinations) and I ran into trouble with tagging tracks inside folder tracks. I might be better off just using sub-tracks & tagging, with no folder tracks.

(5) I would really like this one, as I use an Apollo Duo, and have to go back & forth to it’s console & mono there, or use my mono racks preset, both of which are not as fluid, & I tend to forget sometimes after getting involved in the mix.

(6) This sometimes drive me nuts. If I remember correctly they use to be a bit bigger. Most of the time it appears I have the mouse spot on, then here comes rewind. I go back & forth with this 2,3,4, times. I guess they could leave them the same size & just have them light up much brighter on mouse-over, to know you have it.

Main things for me is reliable and fluid. I still have trouble with crashes here & there. OUCH! This on top of having to learn a new rec. system and Mac comp. (& not being a techie) is wearing on me.
Not to be too complaintive about (T6). I think it’s an awesome program with what seems to be a great team. I’ve felt compelled to send them a little extra a couple of times. It seems to me that the program is under-priced.

on OSX 10.10, there are still some plugin with a sluggish behavior.
When T6 is playing, the plugin UI refresh is too slow when ajusting a parameter, the knob or slider movement are chopped up. The same for plug in with dynamic UI display like microtonic.
On some plugin, the preset change is also sluggish, several secondes until the preset is updated.
On other plugins, the drop down menus don't show up.
Note : all these plugins work OK on Logic X on the same computer.

I think T6 need a better UI management.

Tracktion 6.1.0 on Windows 7 x64 fails to scan the 64-bit VST2 version of Xpand!2 by AIR Musictech properly.

Also the x64 VST version of Attack from the Waldorf Edition 2.0 fails during the plugin scan.
