My thoughts exactly. Sounds like a playground for the electronic experimentation crowd.ENV1 wrote:The FX stuff was interesting, but somehow i expected more of the actual voice capabilities.
(I.e. more realism and less Speak'n'Spell.)
Anyway, im sure Kraftwerk would like it.
The Ploque stuff and a vocoder will fill that niche just fine for me. Realitone's The Ladies and Blue are more my cuppa.
Sigh of relief – can use €119 for something more interesting (for me personally, that is).

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Just stumbled on this and haven't gone through the thread.
Will there be a demo version?
Will there be introductory offer?

As of now the Price: 119 € ... {barring any potential "bundled" price, of which I am not privy}Musical Gym wrote:Just stumbled on this and haven't gone through the thread.

The "RC" will be out today, and I am assuming there will be a 'demo' with that announcement.

Realitone's stuff looks great.

Thanks, it will be out on a major anniversary for me, so that will in itself make it special. Without an intro price, I'll hold off until later after Black Friday and the reviews start coming in. No rush to add any new vocal stuff right now.Shabdahbriah wrote:As of now the Price: 119 € ... {barring any potential "bundled" price, of which I am not privy}Musical Gym wrote:Just stumbled on this and haven't gone through the thread.

I think I can put it to use for the formant sounds even if I can't easily get clear speech out of it. I didn't understand most of the words I heard, so I assume they were in German.

In between, my current scheme is sleeping from around 10 pm - 1 or 2 am, work through the night, get more sleep between 6/7 - 8/9 and an hour or so in the afternoon.krankyone wrote:So Simon, up early or up late?

As personally I am totally not interested in rebuilding any kind of vocal realism with this (i just hire a singer or do it myself), I wouldn't care how understandable the words would be, I am much more looking forward to all the other vocaloid and non-vocaloid mayhem which can be achieved.

Since you brought up vocaloid, powerfx have a new one, Ruby (awaiting graphic before announcement). She sounds great and sings English. Also, Zero-g is about to release their new voc4 offering.

I've not seen/experienced a synth which is as 'immediately' flexible/accessible/programmable in this regard. Not that I've tried 'everything' ever made (by a long shot), but I have been around awhile, and my GAS is legendary.rustman wrote:I think I can put it to use for the formant sounds even if I can't easily get clear speech out of it.
The in-house (pre-release) "how-to's" should be coming out also, I would imagine. They are more informative.

I'm super pleased with Chipspeech, as far as old-school speech sounds go. Alter Ego was a nice addition. I'm using it in a track right now.
I think Simon said what I was trying to say, only better. His results will be better too. Phonem is going to be fun. That's top priority for me, and it trickles down into my little tunes.
