Right, we are already extending the vocabulary and sorting the interfacejens wrote:There's some important words missing (for example "b" and "S.s." and I think they at least need to be ordered properly and - much better - should also categorized* - right now it's a chaotic mixture of various 1/8, 1/4t and 1/16 words - significantly slows down programming speed.
* a good solution would imo be to have - instead of just one - four pulldown-menus next to each other (the required space on the GUI is available) for 1/4 , 1/8 , 1/4t and 1/16.
This set of words has grown slowly while developing the engine, that's why they are in a weird order like the Keys on a qwerty keyboard. More used on top. But need some sorting or multiple menus like you said.
A few new Words are coming Tomorrow.

result stays the same as with snare and hi-hat: C1 and D2 very obvious, D1 and D3 do a little (D1 sounds a bit like a slight high-pass), all other mics seem to do nothing or at least nothing significant...

Something else of high importance regarding programming:
right now there neither seems to be a way to copy and paste bars (well they're not not neccessarily bars (if it's not 4/4) , but I mean a quarter of a pattern i.e. 4 words) nor patterns, is this correct?

Okay, that sounds promising. "Limbs" would certainly work, or what about "sentence" to stick with the theme? A pattern (= four sentences) would then be a "paragraph". (yes, these are longer though than "limb" and "pattern")quintosardo wrote:Right. We're adding controls for single rows (limbs?) as a first step.

Three new whole songs added as Grooves to the library!
Here is the sound from the whole list of Phrases contained in one of the songs:
MotorTown - Song showcase
I don't know what you think but this is just a dream for me and exactly the reason why I decided to start with drums.

Important note for Mac users: the folder you select for Grooves must be read/write enabled for the plugin to retrieve and list them on the interface!

@jens: a small note about words, "S.s." you required is exactly "Ss".
It is not important per se, I just wanted to make a point about the words clear
Currently adding some.
Another note: you can use "X" variarions in the bottom row, for example add "GG" to "S", makes it a "s".
Now testing the new HiHat timing control, to get it played a bit time shifted for more groove.
Please keep requests coming, it is an evolving "language".

All formats Win/Mac/32/64/VST/AU updated to v.1.1.0 online!
Main changes:
- Smoother interface.
- Follows Host's Tempo (1x and 2x when needed).
- New Words.
- New "X" controls (bottom row): time shift for Left and/or Right hand. E.g. get the HiHat slightly ahead.
Please read the updated instructions online.
Some serious changes were needed, please save the old version, write down your settings (no problem with the saved Grooves), replace the plugin, re-insert it in your existing project. Sorry for this.
A new Groove just added to the library! An old song, 7/8, talks about "money"

Good stuff!

Not at home for the next 2.5 weeks (lving in Switzerland, the rest of our family in Germany and Spain), but really looking forward to trying this new version.
Merry Christmas Quinto (and everyone else)!
