They are on offer again. Are any of the effects worth buying if I already have byome and specops (both of which seem to do similarish things if necessary with better sound quality) ?

They are fun to play with, and one can make cool stuff with them. I've noticed that for some presets on some of the devices, the output is the same no matter the input, leading me to think that I might as well have gotten sample packs from Glitchmachines instead. Still, the samples that come with the instruments are nice. I always felt like the granular controls for Palindrome and Polygon are limited (I don't have the newest Palindrome version), so I tend to reach for other granular options that I have (too many).
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Yeah. I will definitely get the instruments if they come on offer. But for now it’s just 4 of the effects on PB.

Cool sound machines, but remember. The name says it all: Glitchmachines. For the granular instruments, if smooth and lush grain clouds is what you are looking for, you'll be very disappointed with them. They pretty much all sounds choppy, glitchy and zipzapy. But if that's the type of sounds you are looking for, they will serve you very well.

Great little #glitchy machines & surely more digital, harsh that anything else. Usually there is also a Pre, Tape & EQ in those chains too, to tame everything down a Bit.
I would wait a few weeks and grab the Instruments, EFX when everything is on Sale, which is a super - steal then, actually.

I should add that I like having Cryogen (Fracture XT too) handy for any time I might want to mess around with buffering. I've not put the time into Quadrant to really know its potential. It seems deep.
I also like the "Metalizer" control in Subvert, but maybe get similar effects with other ring mods, frequency shifters.

Might be a good way to start into zippy-zappy chiptuny IDM!
But it says "offer until January 11", so no stress...

Bought Convex for £4.74, and i am very impressed. My first impression this is one of the best effects i've heard. 10/10.
