strictly for 'manipulation' as op asked, I would say it's excellent. It has samplers and loads of effects, instrument and drum racks etc... ( and even max should you want to go down that rabbit hole).
For electronic music, it's one of the best, if not 'the best' daw. imo.

ive never tried reaper or bitwig.
