I own the bundle, under custom upgrade in my account it shows $69, its cheaper everywhere else anyway, nice gesture though...thecontrolcentre wrote: Tue Apr 27, 2021 11:30 pmI still see $79 when logged in. Maybe it depends on which AAS products you own.![]()
Applied Accoustic Systems has a modular now I guess

If there’s a single line of new DSP code being used in this synth I’ll eat McDonald’s breakfast for a week.
From the sound of it it’s likely it’s reusing ultra analog’s filters that haven’t changed a damn thing for 20 years.
Getting supremely tired of their lazy-ass development.

I've enjoyed this developer's releases, frequent updates, and soundbanks. The AAS team seems busy to me!
This new modular synth looks and sounds (via YouTube vids) exciting . . . especially for the price. I haven't purchased and downloaded yet, but I plan on picking this up as soon as my CFO (girlfriend) gives the okay. Multiphonics (did I spell this correctly?) is v1, so I'm expecting it to sound great (like their other virtual instruments), but have a lot of room to grow. If I had to guess, they will be adding modules, but I'm speculating.
I'm sure others will share my enthusiasm.

Hi Tommy! Be sure your girlfriend downloads the demo first, runs through the presets, patches a bit and compares its sound and workflow with Ultra Analog (+ Objeq Delay to really crazy it up).tommyzai wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 3:24 amI haven't purchased and downloaded yet, but I plan on picking this up as soon as my CFO (girlfriend) gives the okay.

I wish they'd get busy finishing VA-3, although I fear the missing/broken features are 'done'.tommyzai wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 3:24 am I've enjoyed this developer's releases, frequent updates, and soundbanks. The AAS team seems busy to me!

Richard Devine is a wonderful sound designer, and one of the true masters of generative modular music…but I don't think he designed any of the Multiphonics CV-1 presets (at least, I don't see his name on any of the presets). They just have an endorsement quote from him on the product page.
Example of his work:

If they offered Tassman modules for Softube modular, VCV, or voltage modular I’d actually buy them.kelvyn wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 12:43 pm Interesting idea including Tassman modules:)
I would definitely go for this - even as a Softube/Cherry/NI user - with a decent crossgrade price.

From the manual:
"The Objeq Filter is a modular adaptation of the filter found in AAS Objeq Delay.
It is based on the physical modeling technology AAS is renowned for and can be used with the Pulse module to create lovely physical modeling patches. It also shines as a filter in a subtractive patch, endowing a sawtooth or rectangular VCO with a resonator object’s character."
So, physical modeling is already possible to a certain degree. Some of the factory patches show that in a nice way....
