Full Bucket WhispAir

I export .WAV wavetebles from DUNE 3 and WhispAir loads them every time. Just make them 64 frames or less. WhispAir will not crash if you exceed that number, but only 64 will load. If you come across Blofeld SYX wavetables, or somehow create your own, those work too.

I was having an issue with Waldorf Blofeld Wavetable Creator getting something like overflow errors importing some audio. The waveforms would have single or multiple samples inverted and displaced. Very confusing. I figured it out. Normalize audio to -3.0 dB (or more) before import. Running solid now. The learning curve has been brutal. May do a video.

I found out I prefer the non re-sizable WhispAir GUI. I had an issue with the re-sizable. The GUI update speed when running Studio One in HIGH DPI mode was very slow. So I run WhispAir non resizable now. It's a little bigger than Largo for example. I run my legacy VSTs in 1440x900 on MacBook Pro Win 10 with no re-scaling. This works for me.
Now I can utilize Studio One's HIGH DPI mode, and WhispAir. I like it. The fonts on the GUI are sharp.
The problem with the Retina display on MacBook Pro is it is so damm small (13"). I have 4 resolutions I use depending on app / sometimes depending on VST.
I have a black wallpaper with these words in the lower right to remind me. I could probably set up profiles.
At least the flexibility exists. That's a good thing.

Really great GUI, I tihkn your best so far... What I now wish was the following additions:
- A second filter, both with BP12, BP24, HP24, too
- Filter type, SVF, workstation filters
- Curves in ADSRs
- A full mod matrix
- Make it a commerical product

I prefer MonoFury's GUI. It has a certain class to it none of the others quite manage.

Well, if we are putting in requests, here are my thoughts:Hanz Meyzer wrote: Mon Jul 19, 2021 7:45 am Really great GUI, I tihkn your best so far... What I now wish was the following additions:
- A second filter, both with BP12, BP24, HP24, too

- A full mod matrix
- Make it a commerical product
- A way to modulate panning, either for each oscillator, or at the output stage.
- Some kind of spacial fx, either a reverb or a delay.
- A more lush stereo chorus. The existing one is mono, and tends to sound a bit metallic. Wavetables are often a bit harsh and strident, so something fluffy, soft, and wide would be nice.
- A ‘color’ control for the noise generator. The noise is a bit hard and chunky, and hard to blend with the oscillators.
I don’t feel the need for a second filter, since a wavetable can have filter-like motion by itself. Maybe a static HPF, perhaps with a resonance knob?
Personally I think that adding a full modulation matrix would bring it too close to typical modern wavetable plugins. I prefer the retro simplicity as it stands.

It is, you can happily donate the usual $ 179,- for that quality of a synth…

Would anyone be willing to upload the files shared by MutantHero, please? Apparently he was banned and the links are all dead ends now. I can understand not wanting to, but I figure my chances are 0 if I don't ask and better if I do lol thanks!
