imho the beauty of emergence is that you can see all at once

and be it real tabs or collapsing whatever always hides something
and needs extra clicks for hiding/unhiding
and imho: extra clicks is not good

Well, no, it isn't : with the way these plugins work, you can have everything displayed at once (if you need it and your screen allows for it), and you just can hide what you don't need to save screen space.
These are not tabs : with a tabbed interface, when you open a tab, it hides another one.

With Destructor, for instance, you can display everything at once, or nothing... and everything in between.


Same with the bottom panel of Audiothing Outer Space : you can have it hidden or displayed, but it will not hide the main panel (so this is not a tabbed GUI).

Great granulator effect! But it keeps crashing Ableton 11, unfortunately. I have the buffer size as high as it can go, but no luck. Any suggestions?

first make sure you are using the newest version: 0.2.1
if that does not help then I'll need some more info about your system so I can look into this:
are you using windows or mac? if mac, intel or apple silicon CPU?
could you describe the steps that will make the plugin crash?

I'm on windows, intel. I noticed that it only happens if I right click on the mouse on the GUI. I stopped right clicking and it hasn't crashed again.

Wonderful plugin. Definitely no tabbing. But you could display one stream initially, and then have a plus button that initializes another stream below it, and so on - make it dynamic that way but still show everything on one screen.

for me -> not sexy/fun decrease...

more ideas:

-) grain pitch could use some quantization (optional)
i just played around with audiodamage ODC (also SILO) and optional quantisation for pitch has it's use imho

-) "feedback" and "max grain count" could be individual stream parameters

-) a switching/routing system
if i understand it correctly, now, the streams are all parallel, aren't they?
might be interesting if we could have a routing/switching system, where we could
route the individual streams into each other (serial) or besides other (parallel)

not sure if really useful...but just a thought...

ODC has the "regrain" switch, which grain-feedbacks (sotosay) the grains into the delay-feedback

Hey everyone

I just updated the plugin fixing the potential crash in ableton live. plus a few other improvements
Here is the full list:
- Modulation: Generate a different random value for each randomized parameter
- UI: Editor size preference is shared among all instances of the plugin.
- UI: Add button to paste stream parameters with modulation
- UI: Fix parameters not being updated when dragging knobs with the right mouse button
- UI: Only show active modulations when a modulator button is hovered
- VST3: Fix potential crash when right-clicking knobs

Please report any bugs or unexpected behavior.
