Not really sure what it does though
What is the most experimental/glitchiest effect plugin that you know of?

Hugely expensive and pretty niche. If you get on well with CrusherX for sound mashing and high learning curve youll like this.pel1987 wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 10:04 pm Also, this thing https://www.sonic-lab.com/cosmosfx

Im still finding my way around it. Thru perseverance it reveals itself as theres not much in the way of tuorials or manual. I had to watch the few short demo vids several times to glean what I didnt understand

Sounds like a dream. The whole process of interacting with tools like this one can be almost meditative. I only wish my life wouldn't budge me into a ditch every time I'm trying to enjoy a set-up like this.VariKusBrainZ wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 2:47 pmHugely expensive and pretty niche. Its definitely one to get immersed in and figure out its innards thru tweaking. They threw in one of the volt control plugins for free

Molekular has been mentioned a couple of times already, and I have to say it’s amazing how much mileage I got out of this thing. The delay/stutter/buffer-based algorithms on DSP2 in particular are outstanding, there’s always something new to discover.

Theres some nice stutter effects in NI Guitar Rig that used to be an add on that work well with modulations applied

The most experimental/glitchiest?... One that's in alpha state which adds even more it's now experimental/glitchiest/crashiest which we all want...

I heard they have a hard time finding beta testers. So far only a couple of females have applied.Chicken Drummy wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 10:58 amAt this point I've my doubts about good ol Mr. Rich Smasher ever seeing the light of day - but I keep hoping!![]()

Developer disclosure: I make REVST Entropy, so take this as a self-recommendation, but it might fit the thread.
It’s a probabilistic bitcrusher / glitch effect rather than a granular tool: crush probability, synced or free sample windows, per-bit probabilities, hang/repeat behavior, random sample-hold glitches, band modes, and seed control.
Not claiming it’s “the most” experimental thing here, but it’s aimed at controlled digital destruction / bit-level mangling.
