What I hate even more is people saying "talk about first world problems". I live in the so-called First World. Was born and raised here. Sorry if that offends you that others also born in the First World are upset that now things their money used to buy isn't cutting it anymore. You live in the woods in a shack right?

All that said just got an Uno Synth Pro desktop used for cheap. This thing is the shit.

Behinger synths on the rise now too. The Model D is more expensive than ever, 311 €, and the Crave, which was 149 € at launch, IIRC, costs 199 € now. And a very simply synth like the TD-3-MO costs 249 € now...

Still all very affordable of course, but, Behringer raising prices more and more as well.

That's also the most effective way to run companies out of business

that's what happens when one runs a business poorly... one gains experience not profit.

I'm not buying shit where the prices are hiked due to the chip shortage. Most of the stuff I am interested in has not been affected price-wise anyway. Analog effects and guitars are pretty much my only interests since I have enough synths already imo...

Waldorf Blofeld has reached 579 € now, retail, and 618 € list price.

Hold on to your wallets, people.

My employment, lease, and shipping costs have all gone up over 30% in the last 2 years.

Well, we are in a very tight labor market with unemployment at all time lows. This may be a once in a century occurrence when workers actually have the power to demand the wages and working conditions they deserve.

I take it your shop is not located in downtown San Francisco or any other major metropolitan area. Occupancy rates for commercial real estate are in a freefall since the pandemic. Major companies like Slack are simply abandoning their flagship buildings and the companies that remain are all renegotiating their leases. So I'm surprised your lease has gone up by 30%. Again, workers are simply saying "no" to spending two to three hours a day commuting to work and are instead working from home several days a week leaving offices nearly empty. Companies can't fire these workers because it's too costly to replace them. This is a very positive development in our f*cked up Capitalist society.

I'm not sure why shipping costs have gone up over 30%. The only thing I can think of is rising oil prices (and of course labor costs for drivers, etc.). As I'm sure you know, oil is a global commodity the price of which the United States has almost no control over despite inane slogans to "drill baby, drill."

I hate to be so blunt. But those sleazebags at Sweetwater are your main problem, not inflation. Apparently no one gives a damn about supporting their local independent dealers anymore. They just want their gear as cheap as possible and delivered for free. FYI, I purchased my Pulse 2 from your shop even though it cost me a little more. I refuse to support that "good Christian" Chuck Surack, CEO at Sweetwater, who seems hell bent on driving every mom and pop musical instrument store out of business. He's such a scumbag that if a manufacturer dares to sell even one piece of equipment direct to a long time supporter of the company, he will threaten to drop them as a supplier. What a tool.
