Waldorf Blofeld - used to be 429 € list price (was sold for 350 € at some point). List price now 593 €, store price typically 549 €.
Novation Bass Station 2 - used to be 369 € list price. List price now 499,99 €, typical store price 449 €.
Sequential Prophet REV2-8 - used to be 1299 € list price (if I recall correctly... could have been 1.399 € as well). List price 1.899,99 € now, typical store price 1.799,99 €.

7% is pretty good, try 22%. On the other hand, if the prices of new synths keep rising, the prices of used ones (on Reverb) will soon seem pretty good in comparison.

Considering that some people already sell their used gear for 100 € or more over the (current) new price, I wouldn't be surprised if used prices get even higher then.

Crap, I forgot about that. Though these are usually the ones that have are out of stock, I noticed that with SP-404 mkII, they prices are insane. Luckily for me after getting my Deluge I'm not really lusting for samplers anymore.

I feel sorry for the smaller manufacturers, this will no doubt have a negative effect on them- either they can't get parts and cant sell stuff at all or they have to up the prices as the parts cost so much more (some chips have gone from $4 to $40) and customers complain and/or buy less.

easiest way to reduce pricing on hardware is to refuse to buy it. once they have stock sitting idle they will at least put it on sale to regain some investment. right now retailers and manufacturers are trying to maintain their profit margins.

It’s not like you can buy a lot of the stuff even if you are prepared to pay the higher prices…it just isn’t on the shelves in many cases…there is no stock.

a lot of the good stuff (ie bits i want) is all on order or preorder with bloody waiting lists! it's like getting a dentist appointment but without the injections!!! just as bloody expensive too.

I’m not sure these types of things actually factor into how inflation is calculated, as it wouldn’t make sense. They’re definitely effected by it, though. I’ve heard outfits like Future Retro have folded due to lack of ability to get parts. It’s sad.

yeah i don't think it's effecting the economy but the economy is of course going to push up their prices
if parts and labour are getting more expensive, and we want the goods, then we pay

b) it's a bloody synth, it's not essential, it is by definition a luxury item. deal with it. or don't buy it. simple.
